CHAPTER FOUR

LEE'S POV

I WAS LEFT in the parking lot when I saw Taguro with Michiko coming out of campus. When Michiko left, I approached Taguro with a smile.

"Hey." I greeted as I put my hand in my pants pocket. (said in English)

She looked at me innocently. I smiled with a frown, the expression on her face didn't even change. It remain blank as she stare at me, not even wondering at my approach.

"I'm Lee Roi Gozon." I held out my hand to her. I was so disappointed after she looked at my left and right side, nodded and left. She ignored me. (said in English)

Wow!

I laughed at my embarasment. I approached her well but she just ignored me. Weird.

She didn't even bother to introduce herself. She also did not accept my introduction. She was not interested.

I followed her with my gaze to the far end of the parking lot.

"Lee!" Migz called from behind as a reason to stop me from approaching Taguro again.

I sighed and turned to him. "Do you need anything?" (said in English)

"Nothing, I just saw you." he replied smiling. (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Okay," I smiled as well. "Bye." (said in English)

"Take care!" (said in English)

"You too." I approached my car. I was about to enter when a motorcycle pulled up in front of me. I glanced at it with a frown. (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

While driving home, I couldn't get Taguro's facial expression out of my mind. I wanted to laugh at my embarrassment, I just shook my head.

She didn't even introduce herself. My approach is good but she seems to have a hard time speaking.

"Good afternoon, sir," the maid greeted me when I got home. "Ma'am said they can't go home along with your dad today. They have an emergency meeting in Cebu. But they told me to cook your favorite dish-" (said in Taglish)

"I've eaten. Just eat those," I smiled bitterly. "I'm going upstairs, I still have a lot to do." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

This situation is not new to me. I'm used to it. My parents are both business-minded. I'm their only child. My parents owned a big company and they were often busy handling it. We barely see each other at home because they are busy with work, and I am busy with my studies. But even when I'm on vacation, I still barely see them, there's nothing like a vacation from their work. I just drown myself in studying. I also don't want them to be disappointed so even though I'm feeling so bored, I still try my best to study hard. I'm not close to the two of them. But dad is the one I don't want to get mad with. Because he will hurt you by uttering hurtful words.

I grew up with the help and care of the maids. I don't go out of the house much. But I have a lot of experience in different kinds of things. And Deib Lohr and Yakiro Tobi were with me on those. They are my only true friends.

"Sir, it's dinner time." nanny Neli knocked and entered my room at night, I'm still studying. (said in Taglish)

"I'm not hungry, nanny. You just eat. I still have a lot to do. Just please give me juice and water. Thank you." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"But, sir, you haven't eaten yet." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"I'm not really hungry, nanny." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Ma'am will call later, sir. And for sure she will ask if you ate, what should I say?" (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

I sighed and then turned the swivel chair in front of her. "Tell her that I'm busy." (said in English)

"But, sir ..." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Alright, just give me the phone when she calls. Okay?" (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Okay, sir." she replied hesitantly then left. (said in Taglish)

I'm not like Deib, being so hot-tempered. As much as possible, I'm staying calm. I'm also used to that. But unlike Deib, I often can't afford to laugh at problems. So when I'm sad, Deib and Tob are there to make me happy.

MAX'S POV

"WHO won the basketball game?" I asked Naih when I got home to our apartment. She's cooking when I arrived. I went straight to the living room and turned on the television. (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Chicago Bulls. How was the first day? Was it fun?" (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Hmm ..good." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"I see," she replied sarcastically. "You left in white, you came home in black. What's new? Is it fun, huh?" (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"There's no difference in our school before." I said with a sigh as I switched channels. (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Well then, it's fun! Hehehe!" she said with excitement. "Come on, let's eat. I'll attend class tomorrow, let's go there together." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"You go there first." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Why?" (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"My first day wasn't good," I looked at her. "Don't ask." I ended the conversation. (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

If I'm going to tell what happened, the conversation would be long. Naih is not contented with one question-one answer. She used to constantly opening her mouth. She couldn't bear not to speak. She coudn't take to go on a quiet places or situations.

"We should had fixed our spot before the class started." I expect her to talk again. "Aren't you irritated? Our area is too snug. Of course we need relaxing spot so we can enjoy studying." (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

I looked around the house. Not dirty but it doesn't look neat. "Well then, on weekend." I answered. (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Let's clean up?" (said in Tagalog/Filipino)

"Okay." (said in English)

We chatted for a while before going up to our respective rooms. After taking a bath, I went to bed, but I had to stare at the ceiling all night because the drowsiness don't want to visit me. I coudn't forget what happened earlier.

What's wrong with that person? We just met today but he tripped me as if I owed him a ton of money that I wasn't able to pay in the past. Tss.

The moment our eyes met, I couldn't see anything wrong for Siopao to catch my feet. My chest hurt the moment I fell on the floor so I coudn't get up right away. I have met and faced many assholes. But they have reasons to be asshole. But in the case of Siopao, I can see no reason for him to do that to me.
