The day dawned crisp and clear. The rising sun casted a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene. The just-risen sun shone softly on the streets, bringing with it a flurry of early-morning activity.

A loud sigh echoed through the dark, black room after the annoying alarm clock was turned off. A few mumbles of curses made their way out of the girl's mouth as she ruffled her hair, trying to break out of her dreamy state.
Suddenly, the door to her room was slammed wide open and the girl tried to shield her eyes from the sudden burst of bright light along the corridor. There was a tinier figure standing in the doorway with her arms akimbo on her hips, the two metal necklaces around her neck clashing with each other, adding on to the noise pollution that was disrupting the girl who was trying to sleep.
"WAKEY WAKEY RISE AND SHINE! Jeez, how long are you planning to sleep? Get up, it's already almost afternoon. Momma is looking for you!"
With a cheeky grin on her face, she rushed out of the pitch, black room and ran along the corridor, singing her favorite tune of the day loudly for everyone in the house to hear, acting as if she didn't care whether she would bother people.
