Hinata's POV

It's now the end of school. I handed my club form to the front office and headed to the gym. I picked volleyball and music as my club choices. I'll be trying out for the volleyball club and then look at the music club tomorrow.

To be pretty honest, I don't like volleyball. At least, it's not something I'm necessarily interested in. I only picked it as an option because I'd say I'm okay with it. Good enough to be in the team, I reckon.

But, I much prefer music. Less tiring, less sweaty, easy for me to do. It's just overall much better than volleyball, in my opinion, but it doesn't matter. Besides, I had to pick at least two choices which is quite a dumb decision if I say so myself.

I reached the gymnasium. It's pretty big but then again, what gym isn't large? I looked at the two doors in front of me. I reached for the door handles, but then I heard noises. Loud noises.

Ugh, people.

There's a lot of screaming. They sound annoying. Hopefully, there's at least one tolerable person there.

I finally reach for the handles and open the doors. As soon as I do, there is chaos everywhere. I look around and see two girls. The dark-haired one looks at me and nudges the blonde one. They look at me, and after some talking, they approach me to ask if I need anything, I assume. I want to go home.

Kiyoko's POV

"There really is nothing we can do to calm them down", I sigh. "Heh, I guess not", Yachi sweatdrops. I look at the guys again.

Kageyama and Tsukishima are arguing with each other, well, more of Kageyama yelling and Tsukishima making fun of him. And Yamaguchi backing Tsukishima up and saying, "good one, Tsukki". I wonder if it's fake. Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita are quietly talking in a corner. They're probably gossiping about the rest of the team. Tanaka runs around with Sugawara following, joining in with the fun and trying to stop him. And finally, Daichi yelling at Tanaka and Sugawara to stop and shouting at Kageyama and Tsukishima to stop fighting.

This is... pure chaos.

Click. I hear a door open. I turn to my right and see a short orange-haired boy with an expressionless face. I've never seen him before. Is he lost?

I nudge Yachi and point to the guy. Yachi looks at me, "who's he?" "I don't know. We should ask if he needs something". Yachi nods, and we head on over to him.

"Excuse me? do you need anything?" I ask. He looks at me. He looks pretty... Perfect in a dress. "I'm here to try out", try out? He wants to try out... for this team? I look over at the uncontrolled groups next to us.

"Are you sure you want to try out?" I reconfirm, I don't want to traumatise the guy. His eyebrows furrowed, "is it because you think I won't be a good addition to the team or because of this stupid mess next to us?" Yachi looks at me. She looks a bit panicked.

I didn't mean it like that, I mean, yeah, he's short, but he looks like a good libero. "S-she didn't mean it like that! It's just t-that nearly everyone here is loud and... scary", Yachi defended. I look at him "yeah, what she said. I meant no harm, seriously". His face relaxes a bit.

He looks at the team. They're still shouting and running around. Jeez, shouldn't they be practising? "Yeah", huh? "they are loud. And stupid. And irritating", I look at him. I don't know whether I should laugh or not. "But it's not anything I can't handle. I'll just ignore them if I must", he continues monotonously.

I stare at the orange-haired guy, to the team and then back to him. "What's your name?" "Hinata Shoyo, I'm a first-year. It's my first day today". No wonder I haven't seen him before.
