(I forgot what happened to Sugawara, and google isn't giving me the answers I want, and I'm not bothered to watch the episodes, so please bear with me as I make shit up. Thanks)

Hinata's POV

"Ah- Hinata! You're here early~!" I look to my right and See Suga-San approaching me. "Mm", I nod as he reaches me and smiles his usual glowing, cheery smile.

How bright...

I watch as he unlocks the door to the gym, and we both walk in. "Why are you so early, Hinata?" He asks as he moves his hand towards me and looks at me eagerly like a puppy.

I nod, and he quickly moves me closer by the waist and pats my head. I look at his face as his smile stays in its joyful shape, never dropping down. "I'm always early, Suga-San. I don't have anything to do in the morning, so I usually come to school an hour or two before school starts", I explain.

He keeps his hand in my hair but stops moving it. He looks down in confusion. "Is that so..?" I nod and gesture to him to continue patting my head.

It feels nice...

"Hmm, I suppose it isn't that surprising..." He gasps as I can see a lightbulb appear above his head. "How about... I give you the keys to the gym!" I tilt my head in confusion.

"Huh..?" He shakes me gently before pulling me in closer to pat my head more aggressively, but not too aggressive that it feels like my scalp will fall off.

It's like a weird massage.

"Well, since you come here earlier than everyone else, I'll just hand the keys to you!" I stare at him before replying, "aren't the keys meant to be given to the person who last cleaned up the gym?"

He nods, "well yeah, but you can still lock the door without the key!" He explains. I nod as I take in this information, "I see..."

"It would be troublesome for you to be out in the cold every day for an hour", he says, "it would be more convenient and efficient this way!" I watch as the imaginary ears and tail pop up again.

I nod, "very well then..."

We stay in silence as he continues patting my head. I stare at the ground and zone out for a bit.

Is this what it means to be friends..?

"It would be troublesome for you to be out in the cold every day for an hour."

To have someone make you feel comfortable and keep you safe and warm... Is that how friends act?

I look up at Suga-San to see him blushing and smiling while running his hand through my hair and his left hand around my waist.

If this is how real friends are meant to behave...

If that's the case, then I want to have-

"GOOD MORNING EVERY-!" Both Suga-San and I turn to face the door and see many others crowded near the entrance. An awkward tension arises as a cold sweat drips from my neck.

"H-H-H-H-H-HINATA?!" I stare at Tanaka-San, who's now a stuttering mess, and Nishinoya-San, whose mouth is wide open. Everyone else just seems confused and shocked.

I push Suga-San away and walk to the changing rooms. "Suga-San, fix them", I speak up as I drag my feet. "A-Ah! W-Wait, Hinata I-!"

"Suga... Mind explaining what we just saw?" I hear Daichi-San speak up as more sweat drips down.

Sorry, Suga-San...

{TIME SKIP}

I watch as Suga-San kneels down in embarrassment in front of Daichi-San. I feel bad... This whole thing isn't even entirely his fault.
