Kageyama's POV
I press two buttons on the vending machine at the same time. I look at the two "Gungun yoghurts" displayed in front of me as I wait for either one to fall.
"Asahi-San, do you want anything from the vending machine?" I hear a familiar voice ask. "N-No, thanks" I don't recognize that voice.
I grab my Gungun yoghurt as I see boke and a tall, bearded man approach me. "Oh, Mr Setter, you're here too?" I nod as I move aside. Is he going to keep calling me Mr Setter?
I watch Hinata press two buttons on the vending machine, both being the same drink, orange juice. My eyes widen, and I stop drinking my milk. He... does the same thing as me... "Is it for the same reason, though?" I think as I look at boke pick up the orange juice.
I watch him face the other person. Boke looks like a puppy compared to him. It's kind of cute in a weird way... I feel my face turn slightly pink. I didn't realize how weird that sounds...
"Are you going to leave?" I hear boke ask. I look at him, "And I won't do your stupid plan. I'll think of something else." I want to see how this goes.
"I think I'll stay", I respond. Boke tilts his head slightly confused before returning to his emotionless face. "If you wish".
I sit near them as Hinata and Senpai's words fade into the background. It's nice to listen to, I guess. I don't pay attention to anything. I zone out while drinking my milk peacefully. I don't think they seem to notice I'm here because of how quiet I am.
"What a fucking coward". I snap back to reality, and I face Hinata, who still looks emotionless, but there's definitely a bit of anger in his voice.
"H-Huh?!" I watch as this Asahi person straightens up. Boke's eyes are now dull, they never really shone before, but it's much more shadowed now.
"Pardon my language, senpai, but you're a shitty, selfish chicken." I watch them as Hinata's voice rises and his eyes widen slightly.
Should I leave or..?
Asahi's POV
"And then I left the team", I explain to Hinata, which I found out his name on the way here. Silence fills the cool outside air for a bit as I get more nervous after every second passes.
I can't tell what Hinata's feeling right now. He has a perfect poker face which I envy. I look over at the other person near us as he drinks his milk while staring off into the distance. I sweatdrop as I face back to Hinata.
Then he speaks up, "What a fucking coward". I didn't expect that... "H-Huh?!" I didn't think of Hinata as a person to swear so freely, not to mention insult this freely.
"Pardon my language, senpai, but you're a shitty, selfish chicken" I don't understand what's happening. Why am I the victim here?
"What are you-" before I could continue, Hinata cuts me off. "Asahi-San, I don't think you realize how big of a negative impact you left on your team when you decided to make the decision of leaving" I watch as Hinata's eyebrows furrow.
"I understand that you're upset. I would be too, but don't you at least feel any guilt?" I try to process everything's that's happening. "I-I still don't understand".
"You kept getting blocked by a ridiculously good team which led you to leave. You left the team while the rest of your teammates felt defeated. But did they leave? No, they didn't." Sweat drops down my neck as he continues, "I understand that this impacted you the most." he pauses as his voice slightly gets softer.
"But you aren't the only one who lost something, Asahi-San... You weren't the only one who lost the match. The whole of Karasuno's boys' volleyball team did".
