Malhotra Mansion
There was a lot of hustle bustle going on as the Malhotra's were getting ready for the baarat.
"Mukti, Navya, Aliya, beta come down fast. We need to leave in 15 minutes" Asha Malhotra called them from the living room and got a positive reply. Manik was sitting next to her all set, but was tapping his foot nervously. Arjun who saw that took Manik's shivering hands into his and spoke in a loving tone
"Mannu, beta why are you so nervous?" he asked Manik, who gulped the lump in his throat and spoke "Dadu, everything will be fine na? me and Nandu? Nothing will go wrong today right. I am just getting worried. I just want to see Nandini. I am sure she also must be nervous. I spoke to her today morning and she told me that she was also very scared and nervous. Like is it right for both of us to feel that way? Does everyone feel like this? And why are di taking so long to get ready? Its my marriage right? Why are they delaying it? What if Shivaai bhai changes his mind and decides not to send Nandini with me, because I am late? What if Nandini decides not to come with me as she doesn't want to leave her house? What will I do then?" Manik suddenly stood up and was pacing to and fro in the living room. His grandfather sighed in disbelief.
"Manik, sit. Don't walk like a hungry chicken. You are giving me a headache now" he said a little sternly. Manik sat down making a bad face, but started tapping his foot.
"Manik nothing will go wrong today. Stop thing of all the nonsense and just focus on good thoughts. Think good and think positive. Stop stressing yourself. We will leave in 10 minutes. So just drink some water and only think about the good that's going to happen. Think about Nandini, how you are going to spend the rest of your life with her. How are you going to take care of her, anything that makes you happy. Just stop stressing beta" he said lovingly and Manik smiled. He rubbed his face with his palms and exhaled deeply.
"Mukti, you and Abhi make Manik wear his pagri, and Navya, you and Cabir, hand him over the sword. Aliya you put the brooch on his pagri and Dhruv, beta you help Manik to climb the horse" Asha said as everyone was ready and all set to leave.
Mukti and Abhi stepped forward and made Manik wear his pagri then Aliya pinned the brooch and the finally Cabir and Navya handed him over their ancestral talwar.
