after breakfast, niki asked to hear one of the covers sapnap and punz had been working on. punz was so embarrassed he took shelter in sapnap's room with paws, and only after the song had ended he poked his head out to be met with minx and sapnap's loud laughter and niki's huge smile.

they wouldn't let him live it down even hours later. punz finally threatened to leave and they calmed down about it.

"can we watch harry potter?" niki asked, tying off a braid in sapnap's hair. punz looked over.

"what's harry potter?" he asked, head tilted to the side a bit. everybody went silent.

"you haven't seen harry potter? what the fuck!" sapnap gaped at him. punz shrugged, looking down with a sheepish smile.

"even i've seen it," minx muttered.

"that's because your girlfriend is obsessed with the books and you hate reading," sapnap said nonchalantly. minx hit his arm gently but was already moving to grab the remote, switching on the tv and finding harry potter in the lineup of sapnap's saved movies.

"punz, can you go get some blankets? i'll make some popcorn and find some snacks." sapnap sat up, batting niki's hands away.

"you have no food, though," niki quipped, raising an eyebrow.

"fine, wise girl. how about we go to the store and grab some snacks?" sapnap shot back. niki stuck her tongue out as she stood and went to put on shoes; sapnap followed.

after their mini shopping trip, the four of them bundled up on the couch. punz had grabbed sapnap's duvet for himself and sapnap and found another blanket for the girls as well. niki and sapnap had bought too many packs of candy and sodas, and only a few packs of popcorn, which they'd poured into a huge bowl for all of them to share.

"okay, are we finally ready?" punz asked, turning his head to look at all of them.

"yes, now start the movie!" niki said excitedly. punz pressed play and they all fell silent.

barely half an hour in, sapnap began making stupid remarks about the film. punz shushed him every time, actually intent on watching the show, whereas sapnap was bored almost instantly.

by the fourth movie, the girls had fallen asleep (even though it was their idea to watch the movies) and punz was also getting bored.

"can we finish tomorrow?" punz asked, folding up a candy bag.

"what, are you bored of harry's adventures with the noseless bitch who wants to kill him?" sapnap smirked.

punz smiled. "i guess." he glanced over at niki and minx. "wanna just go sit in, like, the hallway so we don't wake them?"

sapnap raised an eyebrow. "i have a bedroom for a reason, but sure, i guess." sapnap threw off the blanket and stood, offering punz his hand. the blond took it, allowing sapnap to pull him off the cushions.

sapnap "forgot" to let punz's hand go as they walked to the hallway, sliding down the wall to sit on the hardwood floors.

"so, what do you think about harry potter? or at least the three and a half movies you saw?" sapnap asked with a teasing smile.

"it's... interesting. the hagrid guy's kinda tall, isn't he?" punz started slowly. "oh, and the malfoy guy..."

"what about him?"

"i dunno." punz shrugged. they fell silent, just staring at each other for a few moments.

time seemed to slow down as punz leaned forward and slotted their lips together, just for a second, but it felt like eternity. butterflies erupted in sapnap's stomach as he stared at punz.

"s-shit, sorry, sap. i d-didn't... i'm, i'm gonna go." punz scrambled to get off the floor, not sparing sapnap another glance before the door was open and closing, and he was gone.
