Winter Soldier's Sister

Part Three

   Turning back to the window Angelica smiled. "Ok don't get sad...you can't help it now. They are here to help...you got to admit you have been feeling weird." Thinking back on it. There were times she'd wake up in her room. Not sure how she got there. "Why haven't I noticed before?" Her head hurts. "Try not to think about it...it'll only make it worse." A distorted voice came through the intercom and spoke. "Who are you?" The voice hesitated "....."

The meeting had rolled through her mind. Now back at the lab, Shuri was looking at Angelica's brain scans. "I'm sure my work was flawless.." She thought back to the day. Shield had asked for her assistance. Without asking she created something to help fix her mind. Or so she thought. "Bucky...I need to scan him as well." She had used the same program on him too.

"Has anyone seen Barnes.." She asked through the earpiece she had. "I think he said something about needing some time alone...Why what's up.." Steve replied. "You remember what I did for him.." Steve paused. Then spoke. "What about it.." "I want to scan his mind. Then compare the two. If it's true then they should both.." She spoke but Steve interrupted. "Have the same programming from Hydra...we could see what glitched.."

She touched the intercom. Something within her was drawn to it. "Who...are...you.." Her mind screamed, it felt like it would break. All of a sudden her eyes turned a pastel blue, almost transparent. She snapped. The worrisome Angelica is hidden within her mind. now curled in the corner too scared to move. The dark part of her finally broke free. that voice, distorted or not. She knew it anywhere. Thanks to Hydra it was his voice that always brought out the inner darkness. Only the sound of a certain lullaby could send her back to sleep. It was a fail-safe they had put in, so no one could use her against them.  A smirk spread. "Oh, how I missed you...dear brother." She turned to the camera, a murderous aura surrounding her. The blanket on her mind had started cracking, allowing her to seep through.

   Tony was walking in the halls and heard Shuri and Steve talking. "I saw Barnes walking towards Mist(Angelica's) room.." Worry took over and Steve. He started running. Shuri ran off as well. Steve stopped and saw inside the security room. There he saw Bucky "Guys...get to Angelica's room...I found Bucky" He said into his earpiece. Everyone's steps were faster. Steve stood there watching the monitor as well, and Angel's whole aura shifted. "Tony, tell me she is secured in there.." Tony made it first to her room and paused watching from the door. "... Yeah...she can do her worst and It won't break the walls." As Steve heard this Bucky stood before him in the security room. "You shouldn't be here...come on.." Bucky turned and looked at him. "...." His eyes were different. Steve had a gut feeling he would need help. "Thor...you might need to make your way to the security room."

*20 mins prior*

Mist(Angelica) stared at the camera. Bucky was shocked as he touched the screen. "What did they do.." He knew what they did. Or so he thought. "..They hurt me.." She walked closer to the camera. She fell back a bit. For a brief moment, she was herself. "Please...let me see you... I...missed you...Buck. I Don't care about this pain.." Tears fall. "I don't know how much longer I can keep her away.." She cried out. He had to make a choice. "OK, I can put myself on the TV screen... I think" Bucky started to push buttons. Mist let slip a wicked smile. It faded quickly. "Hurry...I can feel her taking over.." Letting out a whimper, fighting her inner demons. Or was she? The TV flashed, and she spun around. There was Bucky, changed but there he was. She touched the screen and he did the same. "Can you see me?." He asked. "....your face...how many battles have you seen.." She noticed the metal arm. "My dear brother...your arm...I'm sorry."

She winced fighting it. "Angel! Stay with me!" Seeing her struggle he slammed the table. "I promise NO ONE will hurt you again.." He vowed as he stared at the screen. Angel staggered forward, catching the table. She looked at the TV. With a blink, she laughed and touched it. Her eyes were a blue swirl once more. "Good.." It was at that moment a blue wave hit Bucky's heart.

Tony saw her fall forward and catch the table. He was about to unlock the door when he stopped. "..that's what happened to Clint.." he didn't know what to say, or think. "That's...that's not possible..." Shuri spoke, having caught up, Tony looked at her. "..what do you mean... Is there something you failed to mention at the meeting?" They both looked at each other, then Angel again. Shuri finally spoke. "When I first saw her, she had that same look about her. I was tasked to lock it away in her mind...never again to use. It should have worked...but now I think they tampered with it.." Tony was taken aback. "What do YOU mean anymore? What are you not telling us?" Shuri stepped forward and touched the glass. "...this power...it was born from a stone of sorts. that is all I know. Honestly" He looked at Shuri, a bit mad now at this point. "I think it's time we went to help Rogers. Then reconvene and talk about this"

Bucky walked towards Steve, That's when Thor showed up. "What the hell.." Steve stepped back beside him, ready to fight. "His eyes...they are the same as Clint when we dealt with Loki." They didn't know how, but they were ready. Bucky felt odd, like watching himself through a TV. He charged at the two, swinging at Steve. Thor stood back and grabbed him from behind. "Barns stop this now!" He yelled. Steve dodged it and took his arms. "You're not yourself! As much as they tried to contain him it was useless. Thor was sent flying back with him as he kicked Steve with both legs. He hit the wall opposite the door as Shuri and Tony showed up. "Careful...he is like Clint was during our fight with Loki." Tony nodded. "Friday...send me my suit arms.." As they came to him fighting Bucky knocked things over and broke everything. "Don't let him break stuff anymore. She'll be let out if this keeps up." He jumped Bucky from behind. Thor Punched him and sent him flying through the door and Steve caught him. Falling back. Just as he wiggled out and faced them. Tony's suit arms came and he blasted him. Bucky fell back, he was out cold. "Lock him up. Fixing this room is the priority." He looked at Shuri as Thor and Steve dragged Bucky away. "I'm going to call Banner, Peter & Clint." Shuri nodded. "I will start repairs then."

   Mist(Angelica) was in her room. The camera is still intact. Watching the scene play out. "S**T...guess it was not strong enough.." Never has she tested it out through monitors. Though it was a learning experience. "Fine, I guess I won't be getting out of here today." Angel stood still for a moment. She started humming a lullaby. Luckily the sounds were broken. "Tili-tili-bom, Zakroy glaza skoreye, Kto-to khodit za oknom,I stuchitsya v dveri" With that she passed out on the floor.
