The Pencil's Case

Night and day

The following morning, I slowly woke up next to a sleeping Dewei. My alarm didn't ring yet, it must be early. I kissed his arm but he didn't react. I was feeling so much fulfilment. I don't think I have already been so joyous once in my life before. I softly played a melody on his skin before covering him with the sheets again.

I got up, I borrowed one of his sweatpants, boxer shorts, and a white shirt. If it was not for the smell signalling me someone was cooking three floors down, I would have stayed shirtless. But still, I went to the bathroom naked, took a shower before putting his clothes on. I went downstairs to encounter a joyful Clariss. I surprised her with my voice: "Your date must have been fantastic". She yelled my name before apologizing she didn't hear me coming down. I greet her, she greet back before she reported a secret I have to not tell Dewei, she was not the first time she met Nerdy they were even dating. Because of it, I raised my eyebrows: "Ow! Really?!". She took offence to it: "What? Is it that surprising to you that I found someone?". I vigorously disagree and confessed I was a stranger in the dating world so I had no right to judge. She disagreed at her turn: "though, you have all the keys". I was confused so she specified:

"The way you carried him yesterday".

"Wait."

"I won't say anything, he is free to do whatever he wants. You too." she interrupted.

I had nothing to reply, next she tell me breakfast was ready so I replied I'll go find the sleeping beauty. She was enchanted. I went upstairs. I leaned against the doorway to spy on his sleeping figure. then, I went to sit on the bed's edge. As tried to verbally wake him up, I kissed his upper arm. Next thing he was stretching himself before noting I was here. Logically I questioned where else I would have gone. He answered his dreams... with nothing to reply I tell him the breakfast was ready thanks to Clariss. He hummed in response. I recommended he take a shower first, he was about to say he doesn't need one but I interrupt him after kissing his shoulder: "I think you should take one, I remember you being all sweaty last night. Furthermore, I...". It was his turn to stop me: "Okay! Go for a shower first!". I suggested he make a try first he didn't understand and sat on the bed. Once he was also on the edge I put his knee toggle on him and asked him to try to stand up. He stood up. that's good. "You realized that I am naked?" he wondered at that instant. I replied by saying him to stand by himself then. I let go of his hand and found his robe. He thanked me and added he was loving Clariss but that was a bit too much, without an answer from me he feel the urge to clarify as a friend. I once again asked him to try, but to walk my way this time. I was holding his wrists, he made a step and another one before falling. However, I was here to catch him. "Okay, slow down" I stated only for him to remind me he was a bit in a hurry because of school later. Okay!

I carried him bridal style to his shower, then I waited for him to finish in order to help him with his clothes. I finally gave him a piggyback ride down to the dining room. "Here we are" I observed to him who thanked me before saluting Clariss. "I almost waited!" she grumbled before wishing him a good morning while calling him dumbass. He yelled after her before she said she was loving him too. Dewei was amazed by the breakfast Clariss has made that morning. She clarified it was her for half of it which was already made: "I simply heat it. Someone must have cooked dinner but surprisingly, the dinner didn't move from the kitchen".

"Clariss!" Dewei screamed.

"I did not even tell him I have cooked" I wasn't telling lies.

She started by doubting it be she suddenly change her tone to irony and fake compassion: "That's sad! Poor dinner!". I guess she received a bad look from Dewei. After our breakfast, I asked Dewei to let me bring him to school doing so got him curious: "You don't come??". I gave him a small glance before explaining: "I have taken retards because of someone yesterday". He simply replied with a bitter "okay". I apologized but he refused and said he understood. So I took him to school even to class before going back to my apartment.

The night has come quite quickly. I was done packing my stuff when my phone rang. Dewei. I picked up the call before making sure it was him on the phone: "Dewei?". He thanked me making his reply kind of funny. "For what?" I asked before he clarified: "There is a new electronic chair that automatically goes upstairs and so until the fourth floor, which is the last floor where nobody goes. It also has a new wheelchair on each floor". I told him it was incredible but he quickly made clear I had to cut it short because Clariss told him I took my time to install it after buying it. Right after, he thanked me again so I told him it was my pleasure. Then he confessed he has missed his bedroom before and it was a relief to possibly go wherever he wanted whenever he wanted it. Finally, he asked me what I was doing. Thus, I replied: "I am... preparing for.." but he cut me by asking if everything was okay with it. He understood I was preparing for leaving so he didn't want to hear it I guess. I informed him it was going as planned making him wonder if I was going to school the next day. I answered in the affirmative to what he was about to hang up but I urgently asked him to wait to his disbelief. "For your knee... I know it's frustrating, but, promise me you won't rush it " I begged, he thankfully guaranteed it, saying he could now go into his room without using his knee so he will take care of it. "Okay, goodbye then" I replied reassured. He quickly said "bye love ya" before hanging up without letting me reply.
