It all adds up

(Maya POV)

I couldn't stop myself from looking left to right.
The card with the wave on it looked very weird and almost backwards in the the camera,

and why was Yumeko using her left hand when she was obviously right handed.

And why did some my cards always end up in the right order but backwards. And so I only got a couple cards right...

But then It clicked...

The camera was mirrored and everything was backwards.

And now the gamble isn't fun anymore. Why do shitty gamblers always feel the need to cheat, instead of practice games or just not gamble. It can't be a gamble if the winner is chosen from the beginning. Because gambling is about putting everything on the line and everything being decided with the roll of a dice, a showdown of cards, or where something lands.

Not you or somebody else deciding who gets to win and who loses. I don't even want to play this anymore but I stay for Yumeko and Midari's sake.

And then I take 5 bullets and pretend to load them in my gun but I actually put some lipgloss in the gun to try to jam it. And I had the bullets in my pocket. And I also had angled myself in a way that made it look like I really put the 5 bullets in the gun.

"Five bullets, HAHAHAHAHAHA IF YOUR PUTTING 5 THEN ME TOO MAYA!!!"

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I'm disappointed in her gambling skills and her always feeling the need to die or be completely creepy. But the odds of this game were in my favor from the moment Midari  rigged it. I mean I should have picked up on from the moment she stuttered but i just had to be bored with nothing better to do.

AnYwAyS...

I put the gun In the box and decided to break the news to her once I pick a gun if I get to, but I'm confident I will. And if not Midari will probably pick my gun since she wouldn't care about the weight difference.

But we line up the cards, and it's a tie. We both have 3 cards matched up.

"What happens now then Midari,you never explained what would happen if we tied?"

"We both shoot at each then or we can both not shoot but let's play Rock Paper Scissors to see what we do."

I rolled my eyes as hard as I possibly could. And I heard giggling coming from Midari and from the other room. "So much for sound proof walls" i thought. But we played and Midari won.

So we both grab the guns. But as she starts to aim it towards me I decide to to end my shitty act of being oblivious to her horrible cheating.

"This shit was an absolute waste of everyone's time."

"Huh what do you mean?"

"You made me play a rigged game just so you could get shot."

"Bu-"

"But nothing, how dumb do you think I am midari? Since when is Yumeko left handed and since when did the wave cards look backwards on screen but normal in real life."
