there was a christmas eve party thrown at my friend's house. her house was huge and she even invited the whole grade. little did i know, my crush was going as well.
i realized that sae-byeok was going so i had to rush to the store to buy her a present. i didn't know what she liked, so i just bought her a jacket that i thought would look nice on her.
i got dropped off at the party and it was packed, filled with people outside of her house. luckily, when i walked inside of the there weren't as many people, i held a bag of gifts for my friend and sae-byeok.
"there you are, party host." i greeted my friend.
"are those presents for me?" she joked, ignoring my greet.
"in fact, one of them is for you." i laughed.
"you don't hang out with anyone other than me, who's the other present for?" she asks. damn, even she knew i was a loner.
"it's for sae-byeok." i muttered the last bit.
"huh?" she asks, waiting for me to repeat it.
"sae-byeok!" i whispered loudly, so only she could hear. she just giggles staring behind me. i turn around to find sae-byeok there.
"yes?" she asks. i jump at her presence.
"o-oh hi, sae-byeok, my name is—" i nervously said. i get cut off, "i already know your name, we sit right besides each other in math."
sae-byeok smiled, while i nervously chuckle.
"right, i just wanted to give you a- uh- present." i stuttered.
"i couldn't accept that, i didn't get you anything." she declined.
"just take it, i bought it just for you." i muttered.
