"Umm...you-"
"Ano? Anong you?" Gulat kong sabi.
"I meant asking you for your preferred food." He said.
"O-oh... I'm fine with anything. Ikaw ba?" I quickly answered.
"I'm kinda craving for curry."
"Chicken curry?" I asked.
He smiled with his small dimples appearing. Napangiti naman ako sa sagot nito. Obviously, I didn't have to search for another meal just so I could please his appetite.
He sat at front of the kitchen counter, watching me as I cooked our food. I could feel his stare, but I brushed it aside and focused in cooking.
"You want ice cream, Beau?" He suddenly asked as he peered over to the almost cooked chicken curry.
"Beau?"
"Yes, miss ma'am." He answered, then looked at me. "Ice cream?"
"Yeah...sure." I answered but only looked at him with confusion before scooping chicken curry and transferring it to a larger bowl.
As usual, his complement was still overflowing.
"I could get used to this in a span of a week, and would probably look for so much more after this vacation." He chuckled as he had probably felt full from eating a few cups of rice and the chicken curry.
He crouched down and took a two tubs of ice cream. It looked delicious and creamy when he opened the tub.
I couldn't see what flavor it was as he only gave me a spoon so I could help myself with the tub of ice cream.
"I could get used to this..." He said as I felt his stare.
"Get used to what?" I asked as I shove a spoonful of ice cream in my mouth. Kid you not, it was the most creamiest ice cream I've ever tasted. I moaned at the taste of the brown colored ice cream.
Heaven
I could get lost at the taste of the ice cream.
"Get used to you and your food." His reply had brought me back to reality. This brown-eyed man was staring at me with a little smile on his face.
You, flirty little demon! Well girlie, he isn't exactly little! Mind you that he is almost 6ft tall!
"Naman! Masarap Kaya ako magluto." He only chuckled as a response as he took a spoonful of his ice cream.
"Demonyo ka dude!" I blurted out.
"Ano? Bakit naman ako naging demon?" He chuckled.
"Demon? Anong demon?
"Silly woman" he chuckled.
"Silly woman ka dyan!" I looked down at my now empty tub of ice cream.
He chuckled as response and shoved his half-filled tub of ice cream towards me. For some reason, this tub of ice cream seemed too addictive. It tasted like whiskey...the only difference was that there was this sweetness coating my tongue.
"Masarap ung ice cream mo... Ikaw ba gumawa nito? I giggled as he bursted out laughing, holding his stomach.
"Tawang tawa yarn? Kung maka tawa ka naman... Masyadong inam." I pointed out.
"You look like a damn goddess ready to seduce any men, pero ang kalat mo kumain ng ice cream. Parang bata..." He chuckled as he reached out holding my face as he wiped out the remaining ice cream.
I only rolled my eyes as a reply.
He tucked me in my bed. Soon, I felt a soft wet towel on my face. Pinunasan pala ako nito. As I felt the refreshing sensation it gave, pakiramdam ko mas lalo lang akong inantok. However, the sleepiness it brought me was not enough for me to fall asleep. Squinting my eyes, I saw this brown-eyed man who had his eyebrows furrowed.
Ano bang problema nito at kunot na kunot?
"Maganda ka na... Bakit parang naka make up ka pa?" He tsked as he shook his head slightly as disagreement.
I giggled as he sighed.
"You silly demon! Anong maganda? I said firmly as I crossed my arms, pouting at his choice of words.
"Baguhin mo ung maganda... Hindi ako nararapat sa ganong salita. Gawin mong cute." I smiled widely at him.
"Miss ma'am, the word cute suits you at this very moment. However, I prefer the word beautiful, whenever I associate your name with a word." He said.
"Beautiful? I laughed at my own remarks.
Totoo naman. My body is filled with unwanted fat, at kahit anong gawin kong papayat ay parang hindi ito nababawasan. No wonder my own boyfriend would cheat on me.
He laughed.
Odiba? Pati ikaw ay napapangitan rin. I knew your words were only of comfort. They were not true.
He turned his back towards me and placed the wet towel on the basin. I thought he would leave after laughing, but he proved that my thoughts were all wrong.
His smile faced my somehow shocked face.
"Beau... You're beautiful body and soul. Whoever told you the opposite must've been either blind physically or by greed."
"Maganda kahit na anong itsura mo pa..." He paused and caressed my face as I feel myself trying to stay awake to hear his words.
"At kung hindi nila makita yon, life must've been too lifeless for them. Because life became colorful with just your presence alone." He smiled as I heard his words the last, before I fell into a deep slumber.
