Chapter 26: Japanese Demon

"こんにちは (konichiwa)" the thing whispered. Rai reacted in panic — kicked it and ran. "What was that?! Worst of all, WHO WAS THAT?!" Rai's mind was in panic. She didn't know what to do. All she did was run. She ran into her room to get the katana. Once that demon reached her, she got her katana. "Wanna fight?" The stance were Rai determined to fight the demon. "はい (hai or yes)" the demon said. Rai started to attack and stun him, leading him outside.

The demon Followed her outside. Then they both started to fight. Rai's yelled filled the Woods. As the Waves moved in, Rai felt like she couldn't kill it. She knew it was a demon. "I said I called it a night!" Rai screamed and made her final move while being seriously hurt. Then the demon dodged and said, "さようなら (sayonara).." the demon said then disappeared. Rai walked inside bleeding. Then she got a text from her mom.

"Honey, We're almost home. But the house better be clean when me and your father come home"

Rai gasped at that text. "But is the house even clean?!" She thought. She healed herself then ran all over the house. Got the supplies and started to clean the back entrance. After, she went to bed. "What a day.." she thought. . .

The next day, April 20th 2022
Rais POV

Time to get to school. The weekends over. Cass is in the hospital, so I won't be seeing her. Then I got ready for school. Mother and father weren't home. I texted them saying I'm on my way to school. They understood and I went to school. I walked as usual. I saw many other students just chatting, while I maybe lost mine... I have to tell Cass's teachers that she won't be here today.

Then you know who appeared. "Hey Rai!". "Hey Ben" I said. "How are you doing?" He asked me. "I'm doing fine" I said. "Did something happen?" He asked me again. "Cass is in the hospital..." then the hospital called me. "Hello?"

"Yes is this Rai Addison?"
"Mhm, I'm her"
"Your friend.. Cassandra Garcia, is she being followed by somebody?"

I was shocked at that.

"N-No.."
"It seems that somebody's disease made her cough out blood. We are keeping her in a few days, hold on."
"O-okay.."
"Well have a good day miss"
"You too"

Then the call were declined. "What was that about?" Ben looked at me. "About Cass..." I said then we continued walking. Then Ben had to go somewhere. After he left I kept seeing a black and white mask. Seeming like the demon I fought last night. L-l-last night. Then I heard that Japanese voice again..

"こんにちは私の愛する人 (Hello my dear)"
"Okay, who are you?!"
"I'm Kagekao, the Japanese demon" he smiled.
"The... heck..?"

I walked to school scared. I thought Kagekao the Japanese demon was a myth?! He might be with Z then slender Man— they are real...
