I loved the feeling of the sun soaking into my skin. Since Ryder, Charlie, and Savannah are all super hungover, they stayed at the apartment.
Owen and I have been at the beach for most of the day. It's been pretty relaxing.
I'm currently laying on my stomach, trying to tan my backside.
Owen had his sunglasses on and he was sitting on a beach chair, tanning his chest and legs.
When he took his shirt off to put sunscreen on, I had to force myself to look away.
Yeah I saw him shirtless before at the lake, but that was different. His girlfriend was there so I couldn't really look.
But now that he's single, and we're alone, I glance at it whenever I get a chance.
I made sure to be sly so he wouldn't notice. As I laid there, we had music playing on a speaker.
We put on a beach playlist so it was a bunch of different music.
I was reading the Ballad of Songbirds of Snakes, the prequel to the Hunger Games.
I could hear Owen move in his chair. I look to see he was moving his head around.
Pretty sure he was waking up from a nap. I look back down at my book to finish my chapter.
"Whatcha reading?" Owen spoke up. I look at him to see he was leaning down to look.
"The prequel book to the Hunger Games books." I answer him. He nods his head as I glance at his chest.
It was looking a little red. "O, your chest is getting red." I bring up to him. He looks down and shakes his head.
"I'll be fine." He shrugged it off. I close my book and sit up. "Stand up." I say all motherly.
He sighed as he stood up. I sprayed some sunblock on his chest, which I'm surprised he let me.
"I bet you only did this so you could be closer to my sexiness." He half teased.
I could feel myself get flustered. I shake my head as I put the can up.
I look up at Owen's green eyes which are covered. I stared into them a few seconds and then look away.
"You have a huge ego, you know that right?" I ask as I lay back down.
I was resting on my elbows. "It's not the only thing that's huge." I look up at the blonde.
He had a smug look on his face. "You're disgusting." I half joke with him.
He tipped his sunglasses down to look at me.
"What'd you say?" He asked causing me to giggle a little bit.
"I said you're disgusting." He looked at me like he was offended, which I know he was only playing.
I started giggling as he got up. He went over to me and picked me up.
"Owen!" I squeal towards him. "Nope, this is what you deserve." He joked.
I tried to squirm out of his arms and he took me to the ocean.
Next thing I knew, he dropped me into the ocean, the cold water overcoming me.
I decided to mess with him a little bit. I acted like I couldn't swim. I moved around frantically, gasping for air.
"Oh shit." He reached down and pulled me out of the water.
I gasped for water and wiped my face. "I can't swim you asshole." I yell at him. I'm acting my heart out right now.
"I had no idea, Sinclair. I'm so sorry." He looked so bad for what he did. But I couldn't hold it in.
