"Oh look, there's one!" I hear Charlie yell. Owen and I ran over to look at the crab.

Ryder and Savannah went on their date a few hours ago and we still haven't heard from them.

I'm assuming they're having a good time with whatever they're doing.

Charlie, Owen, and I got bored in the apartment so we grabbed a couple things and walked to the beach.

It was a ten minute walk so it wasn't bad at all. We tossed a frisbee until sunset and then we sat and watched it go down over the ocean.

It was beautiful. Since it was now dark, we were looking for some crabs.

I thought I was going to hate being with the boys since they're chaotic. But they've actually been pretty chill.

It makes me not wanna leave even more. It's starting to hit me a little bit that we're leaving tomorrow morning.

I'm happy I get to see my family when I get back home, but I'm gonna miss these people.

That's the thing about me, I don't need a big group to hang out with.

I'm good with these four. "Charlie, pick it up." Owen joked around with him.

Charlie gave him a look like he was stupid. "No, you do it." Charlie laughed a little.

They look at each other then look at me. "Sinclair, pick it up." I just shook my head as I lightly laugh.

"You're both idiots." They both started laughing as we walked away from it.

Everything about California has been amazing so far. I can see why people wanna live here.

Beside the light pollution, everything is amazing. It's a lot different than North Carolina.

Even our big cities in North Carolina aren't like Los Angeles.

After we got bored looking for crabs, we pulled a blanket out of the backpack and laid on top of it.

We were looking at the sky, even though there wasn't much to see.

"What do you think Savannah and Ryder are doing?" I ask curious.

"Making out." Charlie simply said. Owen and I both cringe at the thought.

Ryder is like my brother, and Savannah is like his sister, so the thought of them doing that grossed us out.

Charlie started chuckling to himself as we laid there. "I knew that would freak you two out." He's literally the worst.

"You're an ass." I laugh. We were quiet for a moment as we looked up.

It was peaceful. "Do you guys believe in soulmates?" Owen asked deeply.

"Yeah. I think there's somewhere out there for everyone." I say out loud.

I think some people find them later on in life. And others find them early on.

"I don't know. I think I'll believe in it when I find the one." Charlie answers.

I could feel him turn to me. "You seem pretty confident though." He noticed.

"It's cause I am. You just gotta have an open mind." I turn over to look over at Charlie.

His hazel eyes were staring over at me. I take a deep breath as I look back up.

"What about you, Owen?" Charlie asked his best friend.

I turned my head to look at the blonde next to me. "I used to think Heather was." He started out.

He turned his head and looked at me right in my eyes.
