We're doing something a little different this thanksgiving. Instead of staying home, we went to the lake house.

We even invited Ryders family so they're over at they're house.

I could tell that my mom needed this vacation. Even though we spent Fourth of July here with my dad, it's not bothering my mom.

She's been spending a lot of time with Ryders mom. Since it's November, it's starting to get cold in North Carolina.

Our parents were inside cooking while us kids were hanging outside on the hammocks.

"So, what's up with you and Owen?" Cody asked trying to gossip. Ryder smirked over towards me causing me to smile a little bit.

"We're talking but we haven't made anything official just yet. He's been very sweet but it's been hard with the distance." I explained.

I feel like if I wasn't in school I'd be able to visit him more. I think that's the only bump in our road.

"You think you're going to start dating?" He asked as I shrugged. "I think it's hard with me still being in school." I tell him.

I could see him and everyone else pout. "What about you and Savannah?" I ask changing the subject.

I could see his face physically drop. Did something happen between them and they haven't told me?

We all wait for him to explain whats going on. "That's the thing." He started off.

I looked at Chase and he shrugged, telling me he didn't know.

I look back towards my best friend. "Savannah told me how there's a dojo opening up in her town." He spoke.

"I talked to my sensei about it. He said he would be okay if I went there for a bigger opportunity."
