THE ORIGINAL LIGHT KNIGHTS 12200 BC - 6050 BC The Light Knights were an order of fifteen Light Elves who had the unique ability to manipulate light energy as a weapon and used it to defend Alfheim (the Light Elf homeland). For many thousands of years the Light Knights were the protectors of life and peace, but this changed when a war broke out between the Light Elves and the Dark Elves. A Dark Elf general, Erebos, led his army to fight against the Light Knights and fourteen of the fifteen members of the order were killed. With their deaths came the end of the order of the Light Knights. The remaining knight, Eira, retired after the battle and stayed in isolation for many years before moving to Asgard to be with the woman she loved.
THE NEW ERA OF LIGHT KNIGHTS 2053 AD - Thousands of years after the fall of the Light Knights, the queen of Alfheim bestowed the title of "Light Knight" to Liam Knight (now Barnes) after his bravery in the Kree-Vanir war. Liam held this title for a few years, but then Erebos came out of hiding to destroy the new member of the fallen order. He was unsuccessful in his attempt to kill Liam and was taken down by him and his husband Steven Barnes; avenging the deaths of Liam's predecessors. Once he returned to Alfheim, he and Queen Verena established a new order of Light Knights; all of whom will serve under Liam.
