PROJECT ENHANCED
Project Enhanced was a project run by the United States government and the United Nations for about three years. It was officially started on October 8th, 2023 and was terminated on September 25th, 2031.
The Project was created to weaponize humans against extraterrestrial threats as well as other threats against the human race. Agents of the UN were sent out to the households of US citizens and offered them the chance to help their country. These citizens were then taken to an off record CIA base just outside Old Forge, New York. The citizens became subject to experiments that caused a few deaths, many imprisonments, and hundreds of people developing enhanced abilities. The deaths and imprisonments were covered up, and if a person apart of the project either didn't develop enhanced abilities or was deemed trustworthy, they were allowed to leave the base and return to their normal lives under a strict agreement of secrecy and promise to aid the US government and United Nations.
The test subjects ranged in ages twelve to thirty five when the project first began, but as testing proved that abitlies developed more in children, the project began targeting subjects between the ages of twelve to twenty one. The exact number of subjects tested is unknown, but an estimate puts the number at well over 400 subjects. The number of deaths caused by the project is also unknown, but an estimate puts that number at over 60 subjects.
Many of the test subjects who didn't exhibit signs of enhanced abilities ended up having children who did. Scientists speculate that the genetic makeup of the original test subjects didn't allow them to fully develop enhanced abilities while still carrying the genetic quirk of the ability, which is why many of the offspring of these subjects developed abilities instead. These offspring were also put under watch and sworn to secrecy.
Over fifty CIA certified scientists were put on the project, creating serums and machines to create a broad range of enhanced abilities.
