Amelia Pov: We poured the memory inside, and the event came floating to my view. We watched and watched.
"it's called as I understand it,horcrux."said Tom Riddle to Professor Slughorn.
"I beg your pardon?" Slughorn said.
"horcrux.i came across it,and I didn't fully understand it."
"I'm not sure what your reading tom,but this is very dark stuff,very dark indeed." Slughorn said to Ron.
"which is.." said Tom. "why I came to you.."
"A Horcrux is an object which in a person has concealed part of their soul,"
"Im not sure I understand how that works,sir."
"One splits ones would and hides part of it in a object." Slughorn said. "By doing so,your protected,should you be attacked and your body destroyed."
"protected?"
"The part of your soul that is hidden lives on." Slughorn answered. "in other words,you cannot die."
Tom turned to the fire and touched his ring,asking,"how does one split his soul?"
"you already know the answer to that,Tom." Slughorn told him
"Murder,"
"Yes,killing rips the soul apart," he told him. "it is a violation against nature."
"can you only split the soul once?" Asked Tom. "For instance, in to seven..?"
"seven?Merlin beards tom!killing one person is bad,seven?" to rip the soul into seven pieces.This is all hypothetical,isn't it,Tom?All academic?" Slughorn said, worried. Tom turned to Slughorn and smirked ,"of course sir.it will be our little secret."

"could be anything,or anyone..most commonplace of objects"Dumbledore said as walked to his desk and took two objects out.The diary and a ring,"a ring for example,or a book."
"Tom Riddles diary." Harry and I said in union.
