Crepe and Wendy met up with Crawford to discuss. Crawford let Crepe hug him from behind while the older duo discussed it.
"Joel? While it's not surprising, it doesn't make sense." Wendy hummed.
"I wonder... could it be possible that Joel's behind the war? I mean... he is one of the few that can spark it." Crawford nodded as Crepe winced.
"G-guys..." Crawford brought him in front of him as they looked around. Wendy paused as she eyed the area. A soft LK aura surged through the air as Crepe trembled.
"Hang on, Crepe..." Wendy took the smaller boy as Crawford whispered into her ear. "You go and I'll deal with him." Wendy nodded as she pulled Crepe away. She slightly heard the conversation that followed, but she didn't stop. Crawford would be able to tell her.

The duo Top Rangers checked out something deep in the temple when it hit. Crepe was working slowly, guiding a pokemon to safety as Wendy watched him. She didn't want to watch him, but she also didn't want to let him fall to something as passive as Joel. A soft hum filled the air, no doubt from Crepe, as he finished. She smiled as she stepped down beside him and they headed for the entrance. Crepe stopped in his tracks at something. She paused.
"Crepe?" He trembled before his legs gave way. She grabbed him as a soft noise followed. "Crepe!" Her eyes landed on something on his neck.
"How did he..."
She let her eyes look around until it hit her. Joel used different art forms to do different spells. He must've used Crepe's humming to activate something. She cursed as she brought him into a hug.
"Crepe... can you hear me?" A soft noise followed as he tightened his grip. Not a clear answer, but she worked with it. "It's going to be ok. I'll see if someone knows how to cure it. I'll get you help. Just stay with me..." He huffed against her as she picked him up and ran out.

She was glad she avoided Dijon. She didn't need to deal with both right now. She got Crepe to his room before she was spotted. Sven went over as she laid Crepe down.
"Did something happen?"
She snuck a glance at him. Concern washed across his face as he went to her side. Crepe's breathing had faded a little, giving Wendy some slight worry. She gulped. Should she tell Sven? He was, after all, related to the smaller boy. But with the tension between the LKs and VKs... She decided to risk it.
"Yeah... but I can't explain it." Sven frowned as he scanned the duo. He then closed the door and locked it.
"Wendy..." She sighed.
"Something... is happening. It's more than just the LK and VK fighting. But Crepe got too close and now..." She scoffed. "I haven't even gotten everything out of him."
"Too close... too close to what?" She eyed him as she listened to Crepe's breathing.
"To finding out the truth about this whole situation." He stared at her. "He told me that he had figured out what was behind the LK and VK war and about a whole lot of other things that he didn't get to tell me. He was threatened that if he told anyone, he would get hurt. And he told me..." Sven clenched his fist.
"Who do I have to kill?" She paused as she gripped Crepe's hand.
"You won't believe me."
"Just give me a name."
"Joel."
He stopped and looked at her. She noticed the mixed emotions from it. Crepe huffed weakly, crushing the silence briefly. She tightened her grip as she locked eyes with the taller male.
"Please tell me you're kidding."
"Crepe said. He told me himself." Sven's gaze touched Crepe as he murmured something.
"Why... Joel wouldn't do this." Wendy gulped.
"Remember when Crepe was acting weird?" He nodded. "He had just talked to and was threatened by Joel. He was hoping to avoid everyone so that he didn't have to expose." She gulped as she rubbed Crepe's hand. "And..." A lone tear started forming as she thought about it. "I promised to protect him..." She sat down as she trembled. "But... Joel doesn't need much to cast something when you are with a musical person..." Sven pulled her into a hug as she sniffled. Crepe huffed weakly as he shifted slightly. The duo pulled away as she gulped.
"So... something is happening and it revolves around Joel?" She nodded as Crepe murmured something quietly. A faint noise followed as Wendy combed through his hair.
"Well... I have to find something to help him. I promised I would." Sven gulped.
"I'll... go talk to Joel. See what comes up." She nodded as Crepe relaxed.
"Yeah..."
