Joel teared up as he sat down. A fail? He couldn't allow that. But the tears had been threatening to fall for way too long. He cracked as he put his head down on the table. Unknowing to him, Aria could hear him. She put her head against the cage as the air got cold.

She bit her lip as she looked at him. He had crumbled to the ground as tears hit once more. She smiled as the air got cold again, catching Joel off guard.

Their voices collided as she smiled.

He touched the cage. Her hand touched the area near his as she gulped back tears and pushed forward. Their heads touched through the cage wall as the sound followed.

He paused as she looked away. He trembled before going upstairs, leaving her to the silence that had followed. She gasped slightly.
