They had no choice but to target the current problem. And with the tower up, the BKs just went for it.

Ok, so they had to do a lot of steps.

First they had to get in. Wendy and Linda were pretty great in that. Then to solve the many problems that no doubt Aria made. Half the group was done with ease. Then to get to the main base- Elita did it in her sleep.

But they weren't fast enough.

Upon nearing the main part of the base, Joel let loose a high pitched scream and forced the group to pick up speed before they skidded to a stop.

There, Joel was being held by someone with a dagger at the blonde's throat as Aria and Shan Yu froze. They couldn't identify the person as they stayed out of sight and spoke.

"Choose Wisely."

"He hasn't done anything to you! Let him go!" Joel was hardly awake as the person held a tight grip onto his neck.

"Then make me, Mr. Shan Yu. How will you do that with all I can do?" Joel gave no reply as he drifted off slightly. Elita gulped as Crawford called out.

"Hey!" The duo froze as the mystery person chuckled. "How about you fight someone your own size!?"

"Oh no... another loss for those that tried." Shan Yu summoned a sword before charging forward and slamming into a hologram-like figure. He froze before a spell was sent out. "Do know that the real opponent hasn't even shown their full hand."

The BKs, Aria and Shan Yu were safely brought back to the others. Shan Yu was put into the needed trap while Aria was restored by Varian and Rednal.

"Well... what now?" Marcus frowned as they looked at the new, threatening looking tower. The BKs, except Wendy, were still out cold from whatever was casted. Shan Yu wouldn't talk to them until Lapis, being the only one who could've thought of such a plan, said the impossible.

"We need to unmask that attacker."

"No Shit Sherlock." The entire rest of the group that was still awake fired at him.

"Fuck you Watson. Moving on, whether we physically unmask them or not, we need this done. This seems like something we've fought this before..." Marcus paused as he joined him in looking at the magic screen.

"How so?" Lapis frowned. While his memories were back in place, this seemed to slip from him.

"I'm not sure... but I feel like this is familiar." Dijon tilted his head a bit.

"Yeah-" He then stopped as he lowered his gaze. There was a gap in his memory, just like last time. When was it? Marcus must've noticed the pause as he spoke.

"Is something wrong, Dijon?" Dijon slowly stood up as the others tried to figure this out/watched the scene.

"There's a gap in my memory... but last time I checked, I got them all back..." Lapis hummed before he turned to the VK.

"Gap...?" Dijon nodded softly. "Just like last time?" Another nod. "Then..." Lapis paused. "When's the gap?" Dijon paused for a second before he spoke.

"Now that I really look into it, there seems to be a bunch of gaps... some bigger than others... but some seem to be... almost twisted..." Marcus paused.

"Let me see..." Dijon didn't move as Marcus's Wand appeared in the LK's hand and gently pressed against his head. After a moment, he pulled away with a small light. The others went over as he extended it out to show an image. Ice paused.

"That's the meeting during the Dark Lord attack... but..." Wendy's eyes flashed.

"Someone's missing from it." They all glanced at her as Lapis paused.

"Oh... you were there... which means if something happened to people's memories, yours won't get affected because of your blessings." Marcus paused before repeating his actions and putting the two memories together.

"So... who's missing? Both images look identical." Wendy scanned over them.

"It seems someone got replaced. Look over near the corner by Lapis. That's where the difference is." They paused before Seafoam finally spoke.

"Wait... I see it sorta... right next to Lapis at the end it has someone else for Dijon's memory." Wendy nodded.

"Exactly. I know who was sitting there. But how many people are remembering what Dijon is?" There was a pause before Lapis finally groaned.

"This isn't fair! I was right next to the person and I'm getting the wrong image. I already have screwed up memories!" The group lost it as Ice frowned.

"I see what Wendy's seeing." The others felt quiet. "Am I the only one?" Midnight gulped.

"It seems like it... but why?" Wendy paused as a thought hit her. She turned to Dijon.

"All your memories seem to be like this, right?" He nodded softly. She then turned to Lapis. "And you've been through memory problems... right?" He nodded rather sadly. She paused. "Then that means someone has to be experienced with twisting a bunch of memories." Lapis paused.

"Now that I think about it... the memory about who tore me of my memories has yet to come back to me..." Ice had frozen up as he stared at the two images.

"Wait... just clarifying, everyone that remembers this meeting has Dijon's memory except me and Wendy?" They all nodded. "Look at who is sitting there in Wendy's memory." Dijon paused.

"Ok...?" Ice gulped.

"There's only one person that I know that can deal with memories. Remember Shan Yu's words? 'Find the current problem within your current lines.' The person sitting there in the real memory is the only one who can deal with such powerful magic." Wendy paused.

"Cedar? But... why?" The room went quiet at thought before she froze. "Wait! You guys don't think that the person, who may or may not be Cedar... is the one at the tower now-" They all looked at each other as she continued. "This isn't the first time Cedar has pulled the cards he has. In fact, even though a lot of people may not remember because he twisted everything, I have yet to see him lose." Crawford paused.

"Actually... I think you're onto something... It's blurry for me, but I remember the damage he was able to do while Cassandra was there." Wendy nodded.

"Exactly! I think he's all an act. Now we have to fight him to find the truth." They nodded as Ice paused.

"We can't just send anyone..." Marcus gulped as he summoned a screen up and the BKs finally joined them.

"Then... bad news." He showed the condition of the tower. It had gotten larger and there were visible other enemies, mostly spirits and shadows. Elita frowned.

"Ok... BKs in front. Wendy, you and Ice go for Cedar. That might be the best. Everyone else stays here and tries to fix up the memories the best you can. Cedar can't keep us back for long."
