third person POV
BAM!! the ship was shot back by a blast of heat
"what the hell was that!" Gail yells
"Get up to the deck you two! NOW!" silver barks
"what about you sir!" Gail yells back
"don't worry lass I'm right behind you." Silver says with a small smile "Jim get this girl up to the deck. see what you can do to help." Silver says turning to Jim
"aye aye, Sir!" Jim says grabbing Gail's hand "lets go G"

"Alright class have a good lunch!" Mrs. French says over the kids excited laughter. "don't forget about the reading!" Mrs. French continued but no one heard her as the door opened to the play ground.
about 10 minuets later Gail was sitting doing the reading homework when she looked up to see three boys whispering about her
"dude I dare you to go ask, Him out!" One of the boys named David said. Gail tried to ignore him, she had already gotten in enough fights this year.
"eww that's disgusting! I'm not gay!" the other boy Matthew squeals
"Just do it, Ill pay you 5 dollars." David bribes
"why don't you do it David?" Gail remarks behind the book
"what did you say to me?" David says angerly
"what? scared you might like it?" Gail says closing the book and pushing David up against a wall. "hate to break it to you but I'm not into assholes who get their asses kicked by girls like me"
"GET OFF FA-"
BAM! Gail had punched the boy right in the nose, and then again in the stomach, and again in the eye, and one final time in the nuts, just for safe measure, before she felt someone pull her off.
"WHAT TWERP YOU WANT MY FIST IN YOUR MOUTH TOO, PERVERT!" just as these words leave her mouth she sees familiar blue eyes. "Jim?"
"Come on Gail lets go to the nurse and get some ice for that eye."
"What?" Gail went up to touch her eye and felt a sharp instant pain, black eye.
----at nurses office----
"what was that about Stewart?" Jim asks hesitantly after a few moments of silence.
"It was nothing, just assholes being assholes." Gail says coldly as she rested frozen peas on
her eye.
"didnt look like just assholes, what did he say." Jim asks quietly
"nothing Hawkins they were just picking on someone," Gail responds
"you?"
"No."
"Really?"
"yes."
"I don't believe you."
"whats there not to believe?" Gail looked away frustrated
"Look G, I really care about you and don't want to see you get hurt-" Jim says frustrated not even realizing any of the words speeding out of his mouth.
Gail blushed because she for sure did process it. "Jim?"
"you're just really important to me, you're like my only friend, and I don't know what i would do if you left-" Jim continues uninterrupted
