Jim POV
"uhh pardon the mess people." Ben says as we climb through the hole that is his door. "you'd think in 100 years, i would have dusted a little more often! but you know when your batchen' it..." I glance around the room, its a pretty cool structure, it seems like ben has made a real home here. I turn to see ben holding up a pair of underwear that looks much to big for him.
"you tend to... let things go." ben continues, Doc and The Captain walk in with Doc carrying The Captain bridal style. "awe isn't that sweet? I find old-romance so touching, don't you?" ben says as doc places the sleeping woman down. Ben turns and pulls something out form behind a curtain, "how 'bout drinks for the happy couple?"
"oh, uh, no, thank you, we don't drink, and were not a couple..." Doc says awkwardly to Ben, but at the same time The Captain looks up sweetly at Doc...
Weird...
Doc clears his throat before continuing, "look at these markings... they're identical to the ones on the map! I suspect these are the hieroglyphic remnants of an ancient culture!"
"Mr. Hawkins! stop anyone who tries to approach!" The Captain commands before collapsing onto Docs coat that he had wrapped into a pillow.
"yes, yes. Now listen to me, stop giving orders for a millisecond and lie still!" Doc says
"very forceful Doctor." The Captain responds with a smile. "Go on say something else."
Gross. Romance.
The Doc and Captain are thankfully interrupted but unthankfully it was Ben yelling "Hey look! there's some more of your buddies! HEY FELLAS! WE'RE OVERE HERE! FELLAS!" And just as he starts screaming the shooting starts
Shit! why did i bring this hunk of metal along.
I pull ben of the entrance by the waste and charge up my blaster to shoot back before I hear silvers voice
"STOP WASTIN' YER FIRE!"
I put in a new laser reload when I hear silver call up to me
"Hello! Up there!"
I peak out to see Silver holding up a white flag, "Jimbo?" he calls and pulls himself up so that his face is showing "If, uh, it's alright with the captain, I'd like a short word with ya. No tricks! Just a little palaver!"
"come to bargain for the map, doubtless. pestilential!" The Captain responds weakly.
"Captain!" Doc says trying to get her to stay calm.
"that means... that he still thinks we have it!" I decide to meet with him and trick him. Now I know its not one of my brightest plans but it was better than sitting around waiting for someone to save us, and plus I needed to help Gail.
Gail POV
I needed to get out of these ropes, I was shuffling trying to get the ropes looser when I spotted something shiny in the rope pile next to me... I crane my neck to see
"the map! But didn't Jim have it? Unless... that must have been Morph! that sneaky little trickster! I need to find a way off this boat!"
I look over to the oaf guarding me, he looks pretty easy to take out even with ropes on, but i try and get them off for good measure. I look around for something sharp when i see a nail sticking out of the ground. I take the rope and latch it around the nail, it snaps easily, I take out the guard and try to find a way off this god awful ship.
Jim POV
"If you get me that map, we could both come out of this rich as kings!" Silver said, he had be crazy to think that I would actually consider this, but i pretend to anyways. Before i can shake his out stretched hand I let my face drop and turn to anger,
"Boy... you are really something. All that talk of greatness, light comin' off my sails, what a joke." i say circling the man.
"Now see here Jimbo..."
"I mean at least you taught me one thing, stick to it. Right? and thats what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna make sure you never see one drabloon of my treasure!" I continue not even waiting to let him get a word in
"THAT TREASURE IS OWED TO ME BY TUNDER!" Silver shouts but I don't flinch
"WELL, TRY AND FIND IT WITHOUT MY MAP, BY TUNDER!" I shout back. Silver doesn't angry but sad, then he looks angry.
"oh... you still don't know how to pick your fights, do you, boy." Now I'm angry. "Now mark me. either i get that map by dawn tomarra, or so help me! I'll USE THE SHIPS CANNONS TO BLAST YA ALL TO KINGDOM COME!" silver turns but looks back at me "oh and if i don't get that map, that little girlfriend of yours, won't be left unharmed. morph, hop to it." anger filled every bone in my body. he wouldn't put a hand on Gail. ever. "NOW!" Morph yelped and ran behind my shoulder. Silver turned and began to walk away again "oh, blast it."
I turned around and headed back up to Bens place.

About 2 hours later the light was almost completely gone when the captain spoke up
"Gentlemen, we must stay together and... and..."
"and what!? what! we must stay together and WHAT!?" Doc yells,
"doctor you have wonderful eyes..." The captain says looking at Doc
"SHES LOST HER MIND!"
"well you gotta help her!" I say trying to solve problems
"Dang-it Jim I'm an astronomer not a doctor! I mean i am a doctor but im not that kind of doctor! I have a doctorate, its not the same thing, you can't help people with a doctorate! you just sit there and you're useless!"
"its ok doc..." i say trying my best to calm the man down
"yeah doc! Jimmy knows exactly how to get us out of this!" ben say also trying to be comforting but it's not really working since none of us have any plans at all. "Its just- its just Jimmy has this knowledge of things!" Ben continues and then whispers into my ear, "Jim any thoughts at all?"
"Without that map, we're dead. If we try and leave, we're dead. if we stay here..." I say not even acknowledging Ben
"We're dead... we're dead... were dead!!" Morph says in a small happy voice.
I turn away from at the blob and the metal man
"well, uh, I think that jimmy could use a bit of quiet time, so ill just slip out the back door." Ben says motioning towards the back wall. him saying "backdoor" makes me raise my head,
"backdoor?" I say running over to where ben is, he seems to be rolling open a big hole into the ground.
"oh, yeah, I get this delightful breeze through here, which i think is important, because ventilation among friends...." Ben goes on a bit of a tangent,
"whoa! what is all this stuff?" I ask ben
"you mean the miles and miles of machinery that run through the entire corse of the inside of this planet?... Not a clue!" Ben says
"HEY DOC! DOC! I THINK I FOUND A WAY OUT OF HERE!" I yell clubbing down into the hole
"no! no! Jim! the captain ordered us to stay togeth-" Doc tries to protest
"I'll be back! with the map and Gail!" i say reassuring Doc
"CANNONBALL!!!" ben yells as we drop.
