aka "Capitalism am I right?"
Which is what I would've named this segment if I were any stupider. I'm still stupid, don't get me wrong, I'm just not that stupid.
Anyway yeah, for the most part, Pandora is a capitalist continent, and I say for the most part because some sections are communist but that's all in the Northeastern part of Pandora so that's not what we're here to discuss.
What we are here to discuss is the companies/brands that you'll find in the Northwestern chunk of the continent
-Some super huge brands like Walmart and Home Depot still exist here, however some of these places had to change their brand names due to oversea trademark laws (which if you don't know how that works, basically you have to register for trademark for every separate continent your brand is located in, otherwise someone else can legally take the name and trademark it first, preventing you from being able to use it without breaking trademark laws in that area. Correct me if I'm wrong on that, but I was told that Australia's Burger King is called Happy Burger because of it so I'm hoping I'm right). These places include Dairy Queen being called Ice Queen, Chick-fil-a being called Chicken Diner, and the list goes on
-Gertrude is a popular weightlifting brand that you can find in almost any gym. From the classic weights to treadmills and even their own range of 2-10 lbs travel cups, they make pretty much anything to suit the exercising needs of both heavy bodybuilders and average people
-The NAP, or the National Aviary of Pandora, is as what the name suggests. It is an aviary for all birds native to the continent. It is popular for it being a hit tourist spot, but the real inner workings are what drive the aviary for the most part. While it is widely known for its feathery array, good bird fans know that it also has closed off areas exclusive to trained staff and professionals to help with the repopulation of endangered bird species. This place is also where the first same-sex couple Neropoulis, two males named Preist and R, were discovered, and along with it, most groundbreaking discoveries about our feathered friends were being made here since 1969
-Chocolate Mike's is like the Hershey's of NW Pandora. It was actually founded in 1938 right after the fallout of the After Wars by none other than our beloved Mike (Yes, the canon Flicker characters are relevant here! I swear I didn't forget about them when I was making the lore, I promise /hj)! Though Mike died less than a year after the company took off in 1939, it was still a huge hit and success with the generation of Pandorians, and since then it was widely regarded as the company that shaped the chocolate of the new world. As the company grew, they went from selling chunks of plain milk chocolate to selling some of the rarest chocolates in the whole world, but their chocolate cubes are still one of the most popular and most affordable candies to this day
-Winster is a popular alcohol brand that started flourishing just a few years after the After Wars ended for multiple and hopefully obvious reasons. The creator of the brand remained anonymous and to this day no one has figured out who they are, but, while what they were doing at the time was a lot of illegal shit, they made a fine ass wine and progressed until they were able to make almost any kind of alcoholic beverage under the brand name. Even though the creator is most definitely dead by now, their anonymity and their craftiness when it came to the drinking business never seizes to amaze people
And that's all for today folks, come back later when I'm not sleep deprived at 5 am on a school night! :)
