The four of us sit in an awkward silence. I don't look up at any of them. I've never been known to be afraid of anything but I am now.

"Master Gunnery Sergeant?" I look up and catch Bucky's eye. He gave me a gentle smile. I finally look at the others. Sam seemed shocked, his eyebrows raised, eyes wide and mouth hung open just a tad. Sarah on the other hand was impressed, she gave a gentle smile and a slight nod of her head in understanding.

"This is bullshit!" Sam said loudly standing up and throwing his hands up in the air. "I want you out of this house and out of our lives." I knew he didn't mean it; he was hurt. I gave an abrupt nod of the head standing up.

"You got it. Sarah, if you need me, you know where to find me. It was a pleasure to meet you in person Sergeant you're a real hero." I turn and meet Sam's eye. "Wilson." I then grab my stuff and leave. I could hear Sarah shouting after me. I needed him to calm down. I needed them to work out the trust issues that Sam now thinks that they have because of me.

Until then, I'll be in my tiny studio surviving with minimal sanity. My relaxation came from work. I wouldn't have that for a while now. I got onto the porch and looked around. I realized then that my truck was still down by the boat full of equipment that needed to be unloaded. I took a deep breath looking out to the road before me that had heavy rains and stepped off the porch before walking towards the docks. It's a 4 mile walk so; I better get going.

I was about a two away from the house; been walking for about 45 minutes when I heard a car pull up next to me. I look over and immediately keep walking. The car stops and I hear the door open.

"Get in the car."

"No thank you Wilson, I'd rather walk than deal with your bipolar attitude right now." I hear a frustrated sigh escape from him.

"Dammit YN, get in the car and at least let me drive you to your truck. Hell, I'll even help you unload it." I stop walking and turn to face him. Halfway through the walk my clothes had become soaked and I had hair matted to my face.

"I did not ask for, nor do I need your help. If I remember correctly, you're the one who told me to get out of your life."

"Look, I was angry-"

"AND I WASN'T?! YOU JUST MADE ME LOSE THE LAST THING I HAD OF MY BROTHER BUT I DIDN'T GO THROWING A BITCH FIT AFTER NOW, DID I? No, instead I went and spilt more of the secrets that I don't like to discuss just for it to be used against me. I'm not like you Sam! I can't just go and be a hero in people's eyes. They hear about my name, my rank, then they ask about missions. Missions that only made me a villain of their story." It was at the end of my spiel that I notice Sam now in front of me. He gently placed his hand on my shoulder. I could tell in this moment he didn't mean to anger me, to yell at me; he just wanted to try and make up for what he did.

"Let's get you in the car, with the heater, and we can talk more."

"Fine but you owe me a drink." I grumble before walking to the car door and hopping in. I could see him with a faint smile as he still stood in the rain shaking his head. After a moment he came around and got in.

True to his comment he had the heater on it helped warm my chilled bones, even if I was still in clothes that were drenched. He drove us to the bar that we had met at before and before we went in, he handed me one of his extra sweatshirts so I was a bit warmer.

I changed before I followed him inside. I was quickly greeted by Mark who had two beers on the counter for me by the time I got to it.

"Thanks Mark!" I told him before I met Sam at one of the tables. I sat down across from him and we both took a drink.

"I'm sorry for how I reacted. I haven't had the best time with people keeping secrets lately."

"I know that has to deal with your work and Steve, I get it but that doesn't give you a reason to take it out on me. I didn't even know that you were Sarah's brother till after the blip. Then I had just met you. I mean when was I supposed to tell you I was Riley's sister?" I asked with a forced chuckle. There was still a pang in my chest knowing I no longer had those photos. I could tell Sam wasn't sure what to say next and honestly, I wasn't sure how much longer I could last on the subject of my brother before having a full out episode.

"So, Master Gunnery Sergeant, huh?" He asked with an amused face. Oh, if only he knew the half of it... Maybe Sam Wilson may just figure me out after all.
