Time reveals everything at its own pace.

Namikaze Uzumaki Naruto or Namikaze Senju Naruto, has hidden almost everything about herself from the world. Her identity as Kyuubi's vessel, her gender, her heritage, her skills, her love life.

She couldn't hide herself for long, so many of her secrets are known to at least a handful of people.

Whether many people accept change or not is debatable. However, most don't agree easily that they are wrong.

Naruto presented herself as a dunce till the Chunin Exams held in Konoha when she was 13 years old. That event had removed a layer, albeit a very thin one, on her, putting her under the sharp gaze of two Naras.

The following years might have not seen much change, but another cover on skills had been removed after Naruto returned home safe from her battle with Nagato. This was an eye-opener for many.

Another major blanket on her skill set had been lifted off after her battle with Uchiha Madara. No one could deny at the bottom of their hearts that Uzumaki Naruto was a powerful Shinobi.

But that was at the bottom of their hearts, deepest part of their minds. Not everyone's conscious self had to believe it.

Naruto's peers from the Academy, Teams 7-12, were slowly realizing that the Naruto they had known from childhood was not the real one.

Some were even slow in accepting that this Naruto had been actually stronger than them for so long.

The wise ones among them had pointed occasionally that the ill attitude of the group towards the Uzumaki had only pushed 'him' away from trusting them.

The nosy ones decided to spy on her as much as possible, refusing to accepting any blows to their ego.

Naruto had years of practice of hiding herself and deluding others around her. She didn't want to face awkward questions. She had made a mistake of hearing out the questions of her 'fangirls'. In their zeal, they did not realize that most of them crossed the border between idol-devotional and personal. She didn't doubt the questions of Konoha-12 would be any less personal. In fact, she had a hunch it would be more.

Sasuke refrained from interacting with her as he had nothing good to tell her and was restricted from damaging her reputation again.

Naruto's friendship with the Uchiha duo raised many eyebrows among the shinobi who had known her as a dumb loudmouth- the Jounin Senseis, the academy faculty, the Konoha 12.

Shisui is a bright sun among the clan, but why would The Uchiha Itachi tolerate a stupid blonde? Being powerful has nothing to do with it, otherwise Itachi would be buddy-buddy with Kakashi.

Oh, how wrong they were about the Uchiha clan being a bunch of sour grapes! It's not that they can't feel happy around anyone other than family, it was whether they found others worthy to be called friends or not. Uchiha don't trust easily, but when they do, it takes something grave to break it, like Hashirama's backstabbing for Madara.

...

Kurama was worried about Naruto's confusion over her feelings of love because the blonde in question shied away from exploring them after a few unsuccessful attempts that resulted in temporary disturbances in her relationship with Itachi.

His worries were washed away after a certain incident.

...

Once Itachi had taken a mission with his ANBU team to a remote village, scouting the area and checking out the possibility of a relation with Konohagakure. It was also his duty as one of the Hokage apprentices in-training.
