The sun was setting below the horizon. Nya walked down the hall toward her bedroom after just finishing dinner.

A faint clatter made her freeze. She turned toward the sound and found it coming from Kai's bedroom. Walking closer, she saw that the light was off and the room was dark. She furrowed her eyebrows, knowing Kai wouldn't be asleep that early.

A jolt of realization hit her and she gasped. The sword!

Nya burst through the door and glanced around, spotting a figure of a person crouching beside Kai's closet. She watched as it pulled out the elemental sword.

Breath quickening, she flicked on the lights. "Caught you, red-handed!" she shouted.

The person rose to his feet and turned toward her. Now, in the light, Nya got a clear view of the thief. He had dark hair and a mask covered the bottom half of his face. Nya's eyes widened as she realized she didn't recognize him. "Wait a minute," she murmured. "Who are you?"

The man pulled out a pair of bow and arrows. "Your worst nightmare," he growled, pointing the bow at her.

Nya gasped as an arrow dug into her arm. She hissed in pain and clutched her wound. Panting, she looked at the man again and saw him rushing toward the window, the elemental sword latched onto his back. No!

Wincing, Nya tugged the arrow out of her skin and blood poured out. Ignoring the pain, she raced forward and barreled the man to the ground before he could escape. He grunted and kicked her off of him, jumping back to his feet. Nya stood in front of the window, blocking his way out. He furrowed his eyebrows, frustrated, before turning and racing out of the room. Nya's eyes rounded and she pelted after him.

He was halted in the hall, gaze skimming his surroundings. Nya felt relieved, realizing he didn't know his way around the monastery like their last attackers. He whipped around when he noticed she was behind her. He began to walk backward as she stalked toward him.

"Listen, sister," he began, "I think this is just a big misunderstanding."

Nya huffed. "You work for the Overlord, don't you?" she questioned, ignoring his statement.

He raised an eyebrow. "That's a complicated question," he mumbled. Then he looked over his shoulder.

"Oh, there's no use going that way," Nya told him. "All the windows are this way."

The man stared at her, wondering if she was telling the truth, when he spotted an open window behind her. He smirked. Bingo.

Nya gasped and quickly barreled into him as he tried to skirt past her. He grunted as he tackled with her on the ground. Then he drew out the elemental sword and pushed it sideways against her, flinging her away from him.

Nya shook her head and rose to her feet, finding her attacker stalking toward her, weapon at hand. She looked around as she found herself backing into a corner. Oh, where are the boys when I need them?

She gasped as her back hit the wall and she realized she was trapped.

The man drew out his bow and arrows again. "I didn't want it to come to this," he muttered, "but you leave me no choice." He aimed the bow at her. "And just a heads-up," he growled. "I never miss."

"Joseph!" a voice suddenly shouted.

The person froze and lowered his weapon.

Nya peered over his shoulder and saw Lloyd stalking toward them. "Leave her alone," he demanded.

Joseph furrowed his eyebrows. "Garmadon," he snarled.

Nya's gaze flicked from one boy to the other. "You know him?" she asked Lloyd.
