Garmadon opened the back door and stepped out into the courtyard. His eyes widened as he saw the training equipment spinning rapidly. He spotted Lloyd among the action, hopping from place to place and grunting as he dodged the obstacles.
"What happened to the training course?" Garmadon asked.
Lloyd skidded to a halt at the sound of his father's voice and turned around. Garmadon jolted in alarm as he saw blood streaming from Lloyd's cheek. He rushed over to his son, worry raining down on him.
"What happened?" Garmadon questioned, concerned.
Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Garmadon stared at his wound. "Are you okay?"
Lloyd wiped blood from his face. "Oh, you mean this?" he murmured as if forgetting it was there. "It's nothing."
"Nothing?" Garmadon echoed in surprise. "Lloyd, that's a deep wound!"
Lloyd scoffed. "The more pain, the more fun, right?"
Garmadon's eyes widened and he stared at his son in horror. "Wh-wha..." He stumbled for a reply.
Lloyd flicked his head, blood sprinkling onto the ground. He seemed completely oblivious to the injury he had just taken as he crossed his arms and waited impatiently for his father's response.
"Uh—well, you should still get it checked," Garmadon stammered.
Lloyd chuckled and shook his head. "You worry too much," he said, turning around. You just worry about the wrong things, he added to himself as he headed toward the monastery.
He entered the kitchen, finding Kai sitting on a kitchen chair. The red ninja's wide gaze turned to Lloyd as he walked in. "Oh... h-hey, Lloyd..."
Lloyd didn't look at him as he headed for the refrigerator. "Um... hi," he muttered. He grabbed a cup and began filling it with water.
Kai stiffened as he heard the trickle of water. He shakily got to his feet and turned around, finding Lloyd with a full glass of the drink. He drew in a shaky breath as he watched the liquid splash around, reminding him of his vision.
Lloyd froze in his movements and turned toward the red ninja. "What?" he scowled. "You thirsty?"
Kai staggered backward as Lloyd came closer. "N-no," the red ninja gasped out. He flinched as a drop of water fell onto the floor in front of his feet.
Lloyd blinked and looked down at his cup of water. He raised an eyebrow. "Don't like water?" he pressed.
Kai's eyes widened as Lloyd held the glass up to his face. Smirking as Kai shrank backward, the green ninja shook the water until it began to spill over the edge. Kai's eyes flashed with fear and he stumbled away from the drops of water.
Lloyd chuckled. "You're scared of water!" he mocked.
Kai's breath quickened and his heart pounded in his chest. He gasped as he found himself backed up against a wall. Lloyd waved the cup of water as he stood in front of Kai, eyes alight with amusement.
Kai's breath caught in his throat as he felt water drop onto his arm. Horror shot through him as he again remembered his vision. Breathing heavily, the red ninja stumbled out of the corner and raced out of the kitchen.
Panic rained down on him as he zoomed up the staircase, trying to get far away from Lloyd and the water. He ran with all his speed down the hall, sweeping past Cole unknowingly. Then he burst into his room and slammed the door behind him, slumping onto the floor.
