ALBUS INHALED SHARPLY AS HE WOKE UP TO A DIMLY LIT ROOM. He got on his feet and stepped forward but immediately bumped into something. He held out his hand and felt something cold, preventing from stepping forward. He tapped the substance twice and concluded that it was glass. He moved backwards and felt glass a couple of steps behind him. He was trapped in a box made of glass. He looked up and saw nothing on the top. He reached into his pocket to grab his wand but it wasn't there. The glass rose at least ten feet around him, climbing it would be next to impossible.
Lena. His last memory before ending up in this dark room was Lena attacking him. Where was she now? Was she hurt?
"Psst, Albus?" Albus turned to his left where he heard someone the voice. He smiled as he saw Lena's blond hair and blue eyes. He ran towards her but bumped into the glass wall that he momentarily forgot that was there.
"Lena! Are you okay?" he asked. Lena was trapped in a similar glass wall next to him.
"Yeah I'm fine," she said "I'm so happy you woke up."
"Where are we?" asked Albus. Lena shook her head and stated out of the glass in front of her. They were trapped in glass boxes in a white room which was illuminated by a series of tube lights along the edges of the ceiling.
"No idea," said Lena "Looks like some sort of a storage room."
"You would be right if you weren't so wrong," Albus and Lena around and saw a door open and close. A tall figure with a black top hat and a black opera mask walked in.
"What do you want?" Albus demanded, punching the glass.
"That my dear boy is what the muggles call bulletproof glass," said the figure, pulling up a chair in front of them and sitting down. The figured removed the mask and top hat and Albus and Lena were now staring at Lena's aunt, who had a wicked grin on her face.
"Listen, I know it's a lot of money, but you don't have to kill us," said Albus.
"She's not going to kill us now," Lena said softly "It's been her all along. She is the Foreign Hope."
"Clever girl," said Charlotte "Have you figured out everything else too?" Lena shook her head.
"Tsk, that's too bad," Charlotte said with a mock pout "Well, I suppose I'll just have to tell you. You see this all started with my dear old sister hating witches. I never really understood that, until she was murdered. With the killing curse. And just like that her life was gone. She never had a fighting chance. It was then that I understood what she tried to get me to understand a long time ago. Witches and everyone who uses magic is evil! They don't follow the same rules as regular folk and it's unfair! The muggles can't compete with wizard folk."
"We aren't all like that," said Albus.
"Really?" asked Charlotte "You and your wife are considered the good ones and she has killed so many people when she was only fourteen. All of you are evil."
"But you're a witch too," said Lena "What do half the people in your list have to do with your sister?"
"That list was only the beginning," said Charlotte "The first three had the most powerful witches and wizards that I knew of. Once they were out of the way, three new lists were going to come out and then three more until there were just a few left which I could kill myself."
"Why go through all of this?" asked Lena "Why?"
"Because I finally understand that too much power in the world leads to corruption and the muggles, like my sister, are helpless," said Charlotte "I am going to create a world where almost everyone is equal. A world where everyone is bound by the laws of nature and science."
"Why would you make yourself known to us?" said Albus "We never would have known it was you if you just stayed in the shadows."
"I admit, I had a soft spot for Adalena," said Charlotte "I wanted her to convince me to spare her and maybe even take the list down. But, sadly, that never happened. Instead she enraged me even more, so now I kill you myself."
"Why are you telling this to us?" asked Albus.
"Because, Mr. Potter, I want to see the look on your face," said Charlotte "I want your final thoughts to be about me and my plan and how you were too late to do anything about it. I want you to think about how I beat you and that no one you know is safe and-" Charlotte was cut off by Albus laughing.
"Oh, terribly sorry," said Albus, still laughing "You were doing your supervillain speech, continue."
"What is going on?" Charlotte hissed.
"You really should have just killed us instead of wasting time with your little explanation," said Albus. Charlotte looked at him with a confused expression. "Did you honestly think that we didn't see this coming."
"The wedding was a trap," said Charlotte, "I already knew that!"
"Lena is the most brilliant witch I have ever met," said Albus "And since you are her aunt, she knows how you think."
"I knew that you would see right through the wedding trap," Lena explained, "I wanted you to capture us. I wanted you to take us to your secret villain lair."
"No," Charlotte whispered "Oh, you are clever but you aren't that clever."
"Did you really think I couldn't fight off the imperious curse if I wanted to?" Lena retorted "My father in law is Harry Potter for god sakes."
"What was your plan when you came in here?" Charlotte hissed "You can't get out."
"We don't need to get out," said Albus "Our family just needs to come in."
"They don't know where you are," Charlotte scoffed.
"I did a linking spell with Rose," said Lena "She invented it and it as our plan all along. Rose would be linked to me and Scorpius to Albus, so they know exactly where we are. I imagine by now that this whole place is surrounded by Aurors."
"They are coming for you," said Albus "Face it, you lost."
A/N: The reveal of the Foreign Hope's identity wasn't that big of a surprise as I hoped and I'm sorry for that. Maybe I just shouldn't be writing big plot twists since I manage to screw it up and ruin it. Anyway, just two more chapters and I will finally be done with this book. I have a really good ending in mind, just hope I can execute it properly. Also, I am going to be really busy this whole year with my college applications and exam studies so updates will take some time and I will try to start a new book maybe
