~Break Free~ [Chapter 4]

------------------------🟠Kyra's POV

I'd wake up to the faint hum of my phones alarm. Sitting up in my bed, I'd dismiss the alarm, and hop off, onto the floor.
I would run to the small, round mirror I had perched against the wall, and would glance at my appearance. My hair was messy from the bed, so I'd use my little hands and run my hands through it, taming it slightly, but not putting too much attention to it, since it'll get messy, either way. I'd smile at my reflection, grinning a little, as I'd turn to my desk, which has a tiny makeshift ladder I made for myself, so I could get up with ease in my cell form. I'd hoist myself up, picking up a round, brown hat, and a pair of comfortable blue goggles, as well as a pair of small, brown boots. I'd jump back down to the mirror, comfortably placing the hat softly onto my head, and letting the pair of goggles perch on the top of my hat. I'd then put on the brown boots I used, mainly to train with Hudson. I'd look back at the mirror, noticing how I was smiling even wider than before.

I don't exactly know who I want to be as a person, but I do know one thing: I want to be an explorer. I want to be able to travel all around the world, and meet other cool people, and see what it's actually like to be free. Like, free free, nobody stopping you, not a single person holding you back, with a group of people who would never leave your side for the world, and would push you to be the best you possible. That's what I want. And luckily I can do that with the two I love!

I'd race to the corner of my room, picking up a small, brown bag, and placing it on my back. I'd check myself in the mirror for the last time, basking in how I look. I looked like an actual little explorer. I'm so excited! This is going to be exactly what I wanted, I even have ideas on what I'm gonna do, where we're gonna go, what's gonna happen!

This is gonna be so much fun!!

I'd quickly race out of the house, skipping my way to the village. Running to the tame, mystical village center, I'd look around at the fairies and forest folk I'd see around me. Not many people were awake, but the people that were approached me, in confusion for my haste.
"Hey guyzz! I just want to announzze that we're gonna be out of the forest for a while exploring. Me, Kofu, and Kyra are all gonna be together, safe, so don't worry! The guardianzz are gonna keep you all safe, truzzt me!", I'd explain. A soft, light blue fairy would seem upset, and would tightly hug me. "Hey hey... It's okay! We'll be back before you know it, okay?" I'd reassure. Her name was Azzie, and she had always been the soft, sensitive one, at least she was almost notorious around here for that. Everyone here knows each other, since we've all been together here. The only exception I'd say is Hudson, who lives closer to the border.

"Are you sure the guardians will keep us safe, though...? I haven't even met them..! What makes you think they'd save us, if anything happened?" Azzie would stammer. Azzie was always scared of us all being hurt, and always took comfort in the three of us always being here. I know the guardians will keep them safe though, and the three of us need to do this, for our own good. Kyra had a point about exploring. There's not exactly a point in being somewhere if you're forced to stay there.

"Azz, don't worry, okayzz? I've seen the guardianzz protect before! Those guyzz are tough, they got thizz!" I'd tell her, ruffling her hair and breaking out of the hug. "It'll be okayyyzz!!!"

Azzie would hesitantly nod. "Ah!! I forgot! Let me get something for you!" Azzie would stammer, before running off, and coming back with a blue bowtie. I'd paused, looking at it, and then looking back up at Azzie.

"I made this for you..! I-I felt like now would be really good to give this, since you're gonna go for a while! Keep it to not f-forget us!!" Azzie would stutter and stammer, speaking quickly to not interrupt my time, and getting close to me to put the bowtie on. I'd giggle to myself, before softly ruffling her hair. "It's okay, no need to rushzz! I'm gonna mizz you, y'know? I love you very very much, Azz..!" I'd exclaim, giggling cheerily. Azz would softly smile at me, and nod. "I love you too..! Now, go on!!" Azz would say, nudging me away from the forest, cheerily.
