There it is. The Hughes company. I am standing across the road on the other side. It has been two years, since I have seen William. Even though I don’t remember everything, I do remember him telling me, that he loves me. Why I came back? Maybe because it hurts too much seeing another woman by his side.
Will Hughes has a fiancée and it is not me. Actually I never planned to see him again. My job is too dangerous and he has a life. I really don’t want to ruin that, it would be horrible and selfish. Elizabeth and I, we still had contact and we meet regularly. She kind of became my best friend, even if we didn’t meet very often. She promised to tell Will nothing about me, but as she is the new EA she has an eye on him, so I don’t have to worry.
My heart drops, when the glass door opens and I see Will step out of the building. On one hand I am very sad, but also happy. These mixed feelings are in my mind, ever since I came back to London. Before he enters the car, he stops and talks to someone on the phone. He seems a bit annoyed, like he used to be, when I drove him around. It still makes me smile. He turns around and rests his arm on the car roof. Slowly he turns his head in my direction. Of course he doesn’t see me.
With a hot coffee in my hand, I walk through the city. It is pretty cold today, Christmas time has arrived and a festive ambience is everywhere. I take a sip out of my cup, feeling the warm liquid sending shivers down my spine.
Suddenly I bump into some one, so that my cup falls down.
“Scheiße”, I swear.
“I am so sorry, Miss”, I hear the man’s apology.
I look up again, so my eyes meet his. Shocked we stare at each other.
Fuck.
“Hello…Will”, I whisper.
Yaaaaaaaay. My first story ever. God I am so excited. I will write a next story called Whispered words. Leave a comment and vote. Fröhliche Weihnachtszeit. (Happy Christmas time)
