London was the same as always. Very crowded and noisy. Soren couldn’t think of a place where he could find magic stuff from his supply list. But Hagrid seemed confident and seemed to know where he was going, so Soren decided to trust the giant man and walked silently.
The three of them approached a pub. The pub was old looking, like those in films from the middle ages
Inside, it looked a lot older than outside, and Soren remarked that the clients were wearing strange outfits, long robes and pointed hats. The barman recognised Hagrid instantly.
“AH Hagrid! The usual I presume?”
“No thanks Tom, I’m on official Hogwarts business. Just helping young Harry and Soren here buy their school supplies.”
“Bless my soul. It's Harry Potter!”
A silence filled the room and everybody turned to the boys, precisely to Harry. The next thing Soren knew, everyone tried to approach Harry, shaking his hand and introducing themselves. Then a man with a turban on his head approached them, looking shy and while stuttering he said:
“Harry P-potter. C-can't tell you how pleased I am to meet you.”
“Hello, Professor. I didn't see you there. Harry, Soren, this is Professor Quirrell. He'll be your Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts.”
“Oh, nice to meet you.” Harry said and extended his hand offering it to the professor however the man didn’t take it but instant looked at it with what Soren thought was dread. Soren found it a little bit rude but kept his opinion to himself and simply said a quiet “Nice to meet you.”
“F-fearfully fascinating subject. N-not that you need it, e-eh, Potter? Heheh.”
Said Quirrell. But his eyes were fixed on Soren, staring at him like he tried to find something, almost like he knew him.
But this moment was interrupted by Hagrid.“Yes, well, must be going now. Lots to buy. Heh.”
“Goodbye.” Said Harry.
Soren didn’t say anything but while walking away, he turned his head back and once again caught the man’s eyes staring at him.
Hagrid took the boys to the back-room winery and in front of them was a brick wall.“See, Harry, you're famous!” exclaimed Hagrid.
Soren had to admit, he didn’t expect Harry (the boy who was always being picked on) being so famous among the wizards.“But why am I famous, Hagrid? All those people back there, how is it they know who I am?”
“I'm not exactly sure I'm the right person to tell you that, Harry.” Answered Hagrid and started to tap on the brick wall with his umbrella.
Soren was amused to think about the fact that everyone knew Harry was famous except Harry himself.
The wall that Hagrid was taping on, then started to change; the bricks were moving and opening a passage revealing a hidden street.
