5th November. Soren Alston woke up that day to find presents at the end of his bed.
On the 5th November, Soren Alston was born. Honestly, he didn't think he would get this much, only one or two from his father and Harry. He stood up, approached the presents, with one glance, he could tell there were at least five or six presents.
There was some from his father, some from Draco and some from his roommates. He guessed,
Harry couldn't come into the common room to put his present, and would gift it to him later.
"Happy birthday, Alston!" Draco came running into their dorm.
"Thank you, Malfoy."
"Looks like you found your presents, mine is the biggest one with the green bow."
Soren opened it. Inside was a box made of glass, through it, you could see some crystals.
"Those are magic crystals that give you different energies, they are quite expensive, but I asked my father to buy them. The latest brand, very popular at the moment."
Soren put the box on the little table near his bed and went to open the other presents. There were sweets from Zabini and Nott, a beautiful sunflower brooch from Katrina (Soren had told her one day, that the sunflower was his favourite flower because it reminded him of the warm sun).
Then he went to open the one from his father, Soren found a cassette tape. He had received a
Walkman for Christmas a year ago and liked to buy cassette tapes of classical music.
"What's that?" Draco asked, pointing at the Walkman.
"That's a Walkman, used to listen to music. You can try if you want." Draco shrugged and went to take the last present in his hands.
"This one doesn't have a name on it." He then passed it to Soren. Soren took it and started to open it.
Inside was a metallic snake, he took it in his palm and suddenly the snake started to move, it looked at Soren and started to hiss at him.
"I finally found you little one. Sssoon we'll be together onccce again."
Then the snake put itself in its original position and didn't move anymore.
"Well, that was... interesting." Draco said.
"What do you think it means?" Soren asked.
"Whatever it was, it has to be from a Slytherin- maybe a prank?"
"I mean the words."
"What words? I didn't hear anything."
"Nothing." Draco didn't hear the words so Soren deduced that not everyone could either understand or hear the snakes. It seems, only him and Harry could.
