It was night time. Soren was getting ready to meet with the Gryffindors. But just as he was about to leave his dorm, a voice called his name.

“Are you really going to leave again? Even after what happened last time?”

Soren turned around; there in the middle of the room, Draco was standing in his pyjamas.

“I’m sorry Draco, but this is very important. I promised I would help them.”

“Don’t you remember the detention?” Draco said, frustrated. “Bloody hell, Soren, you were so shaken after that event, you couldn’t talk properly.”

Soren stayed quiet, not knowing how to respond.

“And now you’re going outside again.” Draco stated calmly, but his stare was cold.

“I have to. I’m sorry.” Soren whispered.
The blue-eyed boy then left the dorm, and went to the third floor.

'○-○'

He was the first there, and after checking that no one else was around, he leaned against the wall, waiting.
Luckily, he didn’t have to wait too long. In the middle of the night, where every small sounds could be heard, Soren noticed some footsteps coming on his right.

“Ow! You stood on my foot!” A feminine voice said. But when Soren turned his head to the right, he couldn’t see anything.

All of a sudden, a cloak fell on the floor, revealing three children.

“Finally!” Soren exclaimed. “I would have died from frostbite if I’d had to wait any longer.”

“Sorry, Soren. We had to deal with someone first.” Harry said. “Now come on.”
Soren joined the others under the cloak, and together, they reached the door where Fluffy was.
Hermione then withdrew out her wand and pointed it at the door.

Alohomora.”
The door opened.

“Wait a minute...he's....” Ron said.

“Sleeping.” Soren finished. “Snape's already been here. He's put a spell on the harp.”
The four of them approached the sleeping dog.

“Uh. It's got horrible breath!” Ron complained.

“Yeah, I wonder when the last time Hagrid washed him was.” Soren agreed.

“We have to move it’s paw.”
Harry went to move it, followed by Soren, and Hermione. Ron joined at the end, however his input wasn’t that much of a help.

“It’s so soft. No wonder his name is Fluffy.” Soren said.
They opened the trapdoor.

“I'll go first. Don't follow until I give you a sign. If something bad happens, get yourselves out...Does it seem a bit...quiet?” Harry asked.
Soren was still stroking the dog’s paw. He then turned toward the harp, and effectively, the charm ended, ending the lullaby too.

“The harp. It stopped playing.” Hermione said.

“Yeah, thanks Sherlock.” Soren said, sarcastically.
Then, out of nowhere, something sticky fell on Ron’s shoulder.

“Ew! Yuck! Ugh.” Ron cried. All three kids looked up and saw Fluffy standing there. Fluffy barked, and growled, thrashing. It smashed the harp and dived at the four of them.

“Jump! Go!” Harry screamed.
When the four of them jumped, they hadn’t thought about what was laying there.

“Whoa. Lucky this plant-thing is here, really.” Ron said, relieved.

“Oh no.” Soren whispered. He had quickly recognised the plant, and knew exactly what he had to do. He quickly stopped moving, and fell through the vines.
However, the others weren’t as lucky, and ended up tied up by the plant.

“Stop moving, both of you. This is Devil's Snare. You have to relax. If you don't, it will only kill you faster.” Hermione tried to help.

“Kill us faster?! Oh, now I can relax!” Ron started to panic.
Hermione only smiled and fell, just like Soren a few seconds ago.

“Hermione!!” The boys screamed.

“Hello there.” Soren greeted Hermione, smirking.

“Now, what are we gonna do?!” Ron cried, again.

“Just relax!” Soren told them.

“Soren! Soren, where are you? Are you alright? Where is Hermione?”

“She is fine. Now do what I say. Trust me.”
Hearing his best friend, Harry relaxed, and fell just like everyone else. On the other hand, Ron couldn’t relax at all. He started to struggle more.

“He's not relaxing, is he?” Soren asked, starting to get worried.

“Apparently not.” Harry said.

“Help! Help me!” Ron screamed, again, and again.

“We've got to do something!” Hermione said.

“What?” Harry asked, hurriedly.

“Uh! I remember reading something in Herbology.” Hermione started to remember.

“Devil's Snare, it's deadly fun but will sulk in the sun! Devil's Snare hates sunlight!” Hermione explained.

Soren was staring at the plant, repeating again, and again, what Hermione just said in his mind. He was in a familiar trance. Everything around him disappeared, and he was alone in the dark room.

Lumos Solem.”

All of a sudden, a beam of light shot out.
The Devil’s Snare shrieked and recoiled, making Ron fall on the ground, finally out of the danger.

“Ron, are you okay?” Harry quickly asked.

“Yeah.” Ron panted. “Whew. Lucky we didn't panic!”

“Lucky Hermione and Soren pay attention in Herbology.”
Soren smirked at that. Hermione stared at Soren.

“How did you do that? The spell I mean. You didn’t even drawn your wand, nor say anything, and the light came from you.” She asked.
Soren looked at her, wide-eyed.

“I-I did that? I thought it was you!”

“No. It certainly wasn’t me.”

“I don’t know. I was just thinking about the sunlight, and thought about the spell.” Soren then remembered that something like that had already happened months ago, when they studied the levitation spell. But he remembered saying the spell out loud back then.

Hermione was still suspicious about the situation, but her attention went away when she heard an odd noise.

“What is that?” She asked.
