A/N This chapter was going to be something different but I have decided to go ahead and get to my big plan :) (btw this chapter wasnt edited so prepare to see mistakes)
Words types like this, Indicate sign language :)
-Ash's pov-
I sat on the bench waiting for Travis. He wasn't late or anything, I was just early. I wanted to make sure I was at the right place though. Since it was basically in the middle of the forest I thought I was being set up or something. But it's beautiful here. Dying here would be a wish anyone could have, even if they want to live. I wonder how it looks during the day...
I heard footsteps getting closer to me, I didn't care at first until I heard a stick break. I was startled and flinched. I looked behind me and saw Travis.
I motioned for him to sit. He hesitated at first. I made sure to watch his every move, he seemed off. When he finally sat down next to me he opened his mouth to say something, he stopped and looked very anxious.
I smiled lightly to calm the tension and made sure he was looking at me, I hope he knows how to.
"Do you know sign language ?" I signed looking at him hopefully. He looked relieved, has no one ever asked him before?
He shook his head head and signed back.
"What do you want?" I could tell he was scared. He tried acting tough though.
"The plan, remember?" I signed back.
Travis and I had had talked through the plan over text because I had a feeling it would be hard to communicate just in case he didn't know sign.
He nodded his head.
"I'm going to talk from now on ok? You can sign back if you'd like." I said
He seemed more comfortable around me, I'm not sure why, but it was very noticeable. He nodded his head and adjusted his position to face me. I noticed something was off, I paused for a second.
Oh!
His eye? It's healed? I probably shouldn't ask about it though, that might be overstepping my boundaries.
"Ok so I talked to Larry, he's going to push Sal into texting you—"
Travis nodded his head, I had a feeling he wasn't going to be communicating that much but I was fine with it.
And yes, the plan so far may sound really stupid, but remember, this is a revenge plan. We can't make it that easy, Sal needs to feel bad.
"—This should be happening in about 30 minutes if I'm correct. We can go from there, does that sound good to you?"
I explained and he nodded his head once more.
Well, my explanation was pretty off. Because Travis got a text almost 2 minutes after I finished explaining the first part. I scooted closer to him and looked over his shoulder.
(The texts are going to be read a little different this chapter)Sal: "hey can we talk"
Travis was about to type but he stopped, he looked to me for a sense of direction. I had a feeling this wouldn't work that well so I put my hand out. He slowly placed the phone in my hand was the one looking over my shoulder instead.
Travis(A): "No lol"
Travis laughed a little at that, making me smile.
I spent some time texting Sal, I decided I should probably send the last text needed
Travis(A): "Maybe you should tell that to Travis then Sal."
I have Travis is phone back and he put it beside him.
"Next, we wait. Until 4 weeks before graduation" I said, Travis sighed. "Hey don't worry, that's only in about 3 months, for now, just don't forgive him."
He smiled, the graduation part was his idea, I'm not sure why though.
Travis and I talked for the next 2 hours, well, I talked and he signed. It was finally time for me to get to the big question... well, one of the big questions.
"Would you consider your dad abusive?"
I asked. He looked at me, a look of surprise and fear washed over his face in just a second, quickly changing back, as if he had given up.
"Definitely" he said. I was shocked, not just about his answer, I already had suspicions about that. But his voice, it sounded so hoarse, as if he hadn't talked in over 2 months.
"Is that why...?" I didn't finish my sentence because I had a feeling he understood what I was talking about. "P-Part-tially" he responded. I nodded my head, he looked slightly uncomfortable so I didn't say anything else about it.
His phone went off and he looked at it. He turned his phone towards me and motioned for me to grab it. I looked at who it was from and grabbed the phone.
Sal: "Fuck Travis I'm sorry, I was just so confused, I didn——"
I stopped reading at that point and just turned off the phone, "Don't worry about it." I saidTravis nodded his head and got up, I looked at him, a bit confused.
"I got to leave now." He signed
I understood and waved, "By Travis!" I smiled
To my surprise he returned the smile.I watched as he left. I felt sick knowing he had to go back to his father. He quickly disappeared from my vision as the trees and the night sky made it hard to see behind the fog.
A/N: I hope you guys are prepared to cry lol.
