"It's time for the two of you to choose who is going to rule Pillea. You're 18 now, it's time for you to take my place." said my father the King.
"Yes, father, of course...we will decide and let you know as soon as possible." my brother, Prince Lucas says, taking my hand and leading my to the living room of the palace.
"How shall we decide Maya..." he asks.
I don't know!! Why would he ask me? I don't want to rule a whole kingdom on my own! And I would hate to burden him with the task of running a kingdom...I've got it!
"We should rule together!" I say with a huge smile on my face. Lucas and I have been best friends since we were babies! Why not rule together?
"That is a great idea! We would share the burden of the kingdom."
"We still have to produce heirs to the thrown though..." I said.
"We shall throw a grand ball to find a future co-King and future co-Queen."
And that is when everything started to feel real.
