Golden autumn leaves
Their vibrant hues only show
Upon Death's DoorstepLife's final hoorah
Before winter's dread mourning
It shivers with frostDevoid of all life
Reduced from soul to soil
Mixed with the compostA subtle, chill breeze
Foretells the first touch of snow
Blanket the Earth in whiteNew scenery comes today,
As the autumn life decays
