I walked into the board room and everything seemed ok.

Mr. Reeves: Good morning everyone so we are going to get this show on the road because I have some fantastic news for you all, Ms. Williams.

30 minutes later.......

Amara: So that's where we are right now and I can truly say that your hard work has paid off good job everyone.

Mr. Reeves: Now for the announcement, I would like to introduce your future boss and the owner of this company my son Alexander Reeves.

Hearing the name I froze and it seemed like everything stood still. It's not that he was a celebrity and I was fan girling over him, it's just that it's like someone opened the door to the past.

Mr. Reeves: Ms. Williams are you ok, you look like you have seen a ghost of some sort.

Alexander: Of course she knows me, she's an old friend.

Mr. Reeves: Is that true Ms. Williams?

I barely mouthed a yes to him because it was like I couldn't regain full consciousness. My boss dismissed us all and I got out of there faster than light itself. I opened my office and as I was about to close the door he used his hand to bar the door.

Alexander: So you are going to avoid me like this for the rest of the time I'm here?

Amara: By all means yes. I have no reason to interact with you.

Alexander: I see you still have me up, can't believe you haven't forgotten about it. It happened like 5 years ago.

Amara: You obviously forgot what happened so my reasoning for not wanting to have anything to do with you is valid.

Alexander: I can't force you to think different but you will eventually.

Amara: I wouldn't hold my breath. (I muttered)

He left the room closing the door behind him. I texted my best friend telling her I wanted to talk to her at lunch at our regular meeting spot and more than likely she agreed suspecting that I had something important to say to her.

Around lunchtime I got into the elevator and it stop midway to let in Mr. Alexander, like why do I have to buck up into him this often he doesn't even work here.... yet sadly. I turned to the side as to avoid him and surprisingly he said nothing was he actually respecting the fact that I don't want to talk to him anytime soon. As it touched ground floor we got out and went opposite directions. Rhianna saw the whole charade and started questioning me as we walked to the restaurant.

Rhianna: Don't tell me that our old classmate Alex Reeves is going to be your new boss. The same guy you like for three years and what happened why you two never dated?

Amara: Cassady, that skinny little brat and his dirt bag of a mom happened.

Rhianna: Not you being so fiery about it. Anyways I'm hungry

I frowned knowing that to be honest after what happened I was torn and I basically stop doing all the things I did back in college. The night of the graduation party Alexander said that he was going to take me to the party so I was supposed to dress fabulous a bit out of my comfort zone which was ok for me, he had treated me so amazingly for all of half third year and final year and I guess he was going to make things official tonight. But to my horror Cassady and Alex's mother decided that apparently I wasn't good enough for him so they secretly arranged an announcement for my doom. She went to the microphone and told everyone how her son and Cassady would be getting married in a month or two. long story short I broke a glass, cut my hand and basically lost a boy I thought was going to be mine. I spent all of 2 years working my butt off to avoid any possible romance in my life, why? because I hadn't gotten over Alex. Seems petty if you think about it but come on I was robbed in the worse way, and now here he is waltzing back into my life reincarnated as my new boss.

I finished my food and told RiRi I'd talk to her later.
