Amara's POV

All I could hear was my heels violently clicking on the floor. I was so upset with him I wanted to just rip out her heart. That witch once gave me hell and my revenge was taking care of me and staying away from anything that would be a problem. A hard knocking on my door dragged me from my thoughts and before I could answer the door was flung open to reveal a fuming Alexander. He slam the door so hard I thought it was going to break.

"What the hell was that for are you out of your damn mind!" I screamed at him

"Really well thanks for leaving me with her, that was rather nice of you, and what do you mean by his accessory?" he yelled back

"Oh so it's my fault, you obviously invited her isn't she your fiancée she walks around with you trailing you like the puppy she is, and she takes you as a prized possession"

"No she isn't and why are you so angry anyway you said you didn't want to talk about it and if you're so over this why does it bother you so much?"

"Now you listen here Alexander rich to pitch what I want Reeves I never asked for this I was robbed of something so good that didn't even seemed real and I avoided you for 4 years see how long, I was doing absolutely positively fine until you strolled in here a week ago and what do you bring to terrorize me and  my peace of mind, a spoilt brat who believes the world revolves around her fake as hell tush and you expect me to take it like a champ, well guess what until you are the high and mighty of this place I want you out of here and don't even think of trying to help me with the planning I've done it by myself once I can do it again and I won't be needing your help now just for both of our sakes get the hell out!" as he turned around we realized that the door was open the entire floor heard and his father was standing there the entire time with a disappointed look.

Mr. Reeves: Both of you into my office now, I'll be there in five.

we walked to his office and I have never been so ashamed before well yes and all who were wondering why I don't date or have any friends at the office were sure as hell going to know why now. As soon as we got in he started again.

Alex: I hope you're happy

Amara: I'm happy? if I'm happy how can I be? you got me into trouble I never say a word out of context apart from anything work related and I'm in my boss's office with his beloved angel of a son and you're asking me if I'm happy?

Mr. Reeves: Silence both of you, What in the name of professionalism happened?

Amara: I'm sorry but we were arguing

Mr. Reeves: well obviously you both gave the third floor something to talk about, what really happened. Amara it's obviously not you because I think based on what I heard I know what happened. Ms. Williams take the rest of the day to work from home, I'll check up on you later.

Amara: yes sir.

Alex's POV

Mr. Reeves: Alex sit down, what did you do now? she just accepted to work with you and all of a sudden you two are arguing so loud people are wondering things,

Alex: I know I messed up but I didn't expect her to actually get riled up about it

Mr. Reeves: Listen whatever the problem is if you want her to work with you again you will have to apologize to her this evening, it's for the good of the company and if you want to win back a woman you have to know when you are wrong and be a man about it.

I sighed and left his office. He was right she was a girl I used to know back in college the girl who let me almost forgot that my family was a big thing and I really liked her, then there was Cassy of course head cheerleader, pretty blonde who flirts with every guy to be in their good graces when really she liked me she was obsessed with me and when she realized that Amara had my undivided attention she made her life hell and now here we are 5 years after right where we left off. I'm going to take over my father's company only to find out that my innocent college senior crush was going to be my secretary and what do I do two weeks before the big day? mess up so badly she literally screamed her pain at me. I got into the car and drove to the address my father had given me. Pulling up to a house with the address I got out and went up to the door and rang the door bell. She opened the door and there she stood in a pink and yellow bath robe and her hair in a what I suppose is a messy bun.

Amara's POV

I hear a knock on the door and go to see who it is unfortunate for me I don't have a peephole so I just opened the door and there stood Alex looking at me in a pink and yellow bathrobe and my hair in a messy bun and not a drop of makeup.

Amara: Ahhhh..... what are you doing here?

Alex: May I come in?

Of course out of politeness I let him in and beckoned to him to sit on the sofa. I ran to my room to actually change into something better but I planned to change into my sleep clothes which I doubt is good right now but he's out there and he's waiting so I put on my shorts and tank top and let out my hair and went back to the living room.

Amara: How may I help you, why are you here?

Alex: I know this is awkward but my father told me I should apologize for what happened

Amara: (mumbling) So you weren't gonna apologize in the first place?

Alex: Mara don't be like that of course but I wasn't sure if I should, I thought that I should just let you calm down after what happened.

Amara: Listen, you will be taking over the company very soon and I have to go to work tomorrow with rumors about me, let's just forget this ever happened and maintain both our roles, you don't have to help me with the function I'll do it it was my job to do it and that's what I'll do.

Alex: I guess I better get going, I'll see you tomorrow Ms. Williams.

I nodded as I closed the door behind him. Why was the happening to me? Why at this time? It is life feels I have unfinished trauma and heartbreak and this is the finale, well it couldn't get any worse, could it?
