Amyra Sadaf.
Log kehte hain naseeb achche hone chahiye.
Saath koi bhi ho, rishta halal hona chahiye.
Neeyat naik ho ya na ho, bas kashti dubni nahin chahiye.
Logon ka kya hai, unko to bas bolne ka bahana chahiye.I read out loud the same lines for what might be the tenth time now. Because I can't get over the beauty of them, the depth of their meaning and the sincerity reflected from them.
How? How is it possible that these deep words can come out of Aman's diary? The same childish Aman who doesn't know the first thing about responsibility. Are we talking about the same Aman here who happens to be my best friend? It definitely doesn't sound like him but it came from him.
What more shades of yours are you hiding from me Aman Ali Haider? I thought I knew the ins and outs of Aly like the back of my hand but after reading this, I can't be too sure.
I flip the page, guilt swirling me for invading his privacy but then again he is my best friend, I have the right to know. Or so I think.
Suna hai mohabbat koi nasha hai,
Ek baar uske dhun mein padjao to kambakht jeena bhool jata hai.
Aye sunane walon, ham to nashe ke shaukeen hain,
Phir kyun mohabbat hamein raas nahin aati?Next page.
Saansein saboot hain ki zinda hoon
Waade saboot hain ki zubaan ka pakka hoon
Wo to chali gayi mere har jazbaat ko thukrakar
Kabhi samet na paon, utne dil ke tukde kar.
Waade karke bhi wo sachchi nahin,
Saansein le kar bhi main zinda nahin.Allah. Ye, ye kiski baat kar raha hai? Meri? Saniya ki? Ya koi aur ladki hai jisse isko muhabbat hai? Koun hosakta hai jisne mere Aly ko itni takleef di. Mujhe aise kyun lag raha hai ki ye meri hi baat horahi hai. Kyunki jab do saal pehle maine Delhi shift hone ka decision liya tha to sabse zyada nakhush aur effected yahi tha.
I shut the book close hastily wiping the tears from my eyes. I can't read anymore than that. I keep the diary back into the cupboard closing and finish dusting the room. I had come into this room that he and Saniya shared only to clean the room. But I was shocked when a diary fell off from the shelf while dusting the cupboard.
After I am done with my chores, I head towards our bedroom. This was Faizu's sleeping time and the only time I could do some proper work.
Since today was a national holiday, Aly is home and is sleeping like a log with his son beside him. I am not least bit surprised to see both father son are sleeping in the exact same position. Their mouths slightly parted, both sleeping on their left sides with right hands on their torso. That's how they sleep. They are soo adorable sometimes it's difficult to handle
I sit beside them closing their parted mouths. I run my fingers through their hair, soft strands of my baby against the rough ones of Aly. I frown when I notice Aly's forehead is slightly hot.Inko sone dete hain verna agar baap bete uth gaye to mera jeena haram kardenge. Just when I am about to get up, my wrist is pulled down. Hogaya kaand.
"Sorry, tum disturb hogaye kya? Sojao main waise bhi jaraahi hun."
"Hamari neenden uda kar khud kahan jaarahi ho jaaneman?" Comes his husky sleepy voice.
I shake my head, sighing.
"Sudhroge nahin tum. Aur chutti hai to kya sara din sote hi rahoge? Koi kaam dhanda nahin hai tumko."I pick up Faizu settling him on his cot otherwise he will also wake up due to our talk.
"Jass, mera sar dabade. Pata nai kyun sar dard horaha hai." He says so I sit down beside his pillow taking his head in my lap. This time his temperature is slightly more than a few minutes ago.
I begin massaging his forehead, and he closes his eyes.
"Tu kabse bimaar padne laga. Jahan tak mujhe yaad hai, I was the disease prone one among us. Aur tu hamesha mujhe is baat par chidata tha, chonchle." He laughs and I hit his chest lightly in mock offense. He is quick to capture my hands, beginning to play with my fingers like he always does.
I rest my head against the headboard, continuing to press his head with the other hand.
"Pata hai, tera beta to sota bhi teri tarah hi hai. Kisi din photo click karke dikhaungi tujhe." I tell him amused.
"Zaroorat nahin hai, main jaanta hun. Maine bhi notice kiya hai. Main to chahta hun mere saare bache bilkul meri tarah hon. Shakal se bhi aur akal se bhi. Tera to pata hai, agar dumb niklenge to problem hogi na."
"Oh Hello! Pehli baat to hum donon mein se main zyada smart hoon. Aur dusri baat, tujhe kisne kaha ki tere aur bachche honge. Sapne mein bhi mat sochna, maine nai hona pregnant vegnant. Pata bhi hai kitni takleef hoti hai. Mere liye mera Faizu hi kaafi hai." I tell him sternly.
He pouts, looking up at me cutely.
"Aise kaise chalega. Mujhe to aur bachche chahiye. Atleast Ek throwball team jitne."
I snort, "Saath bachche paida karne se pehle main mar na jaun.""To phir ek deal karte hain. Tujhe kitne Dairy Milk chocolates chahiye tu batade. Main dilwa dunga. Bas mujhe six aur babies chahiye. Bol, done deal?" He even has the audacity to extend his hand. Paagal.
I swat his hand away, "Oo bhai! We are not six and eleven anymore. Ke tu chocolate offer karega aur main tujhe jo chahiye wo dedungi. No deal here." Before I know it, I hiss in pain.
This jackass just pulled my hair. My hair?
"Bhai kisko bola tune?"
Just wait, I quickly place my fingers below his ear pinching it.
"Oowww. Chudail. Dayen. Kitni zor se chumti li." He whines.
"Kya kaha? Phir se Kehna? " I ask in a threatening tone keeping my fingers above the same area again which has now become red. Serves him right for pulling my hair.
"Kuch nahin meri maa. Main bas ye keh raha tha ke tu duniya ki sabse khoobsurat ladki hai." He gives me a fake smile.
"Tere us colleague banker se bhi zyada?" I ask with hopeful eyes.
He then puts on a thinking face tapping his chin and then looks at me, smiling
"Of course not. Shyra ji ki to baat hi alag hai. Uff, kya ada hai. Kya nasheeli aankhein aur wo kaatilana smile. Haaye, sadke jawan." He sighs dreamily and my smile falls off.I throw his head from my lap to the bed and get off quickly, fuming.
"To ja jakar apni us Shyra se hi sar dabwa. Khabees kahin ka." I storm off from the room not before hearing his boisterous laugh. Jerk.
