Hanamiya was wandering around the island, his flute faintly peaking out of his sleeve. The dark haired boy was bored, he was fed up with Anrokuzan's prohibitions. He needed some thrill. Looking at the black crystal on his bracelet, he started thinking how to diversify his time. He was so excited when the Chosen ones arrived, but now he thought of them as a bunch of boring teenagers. They were taking too much time to master their powers, spending too much time doing pointless things. Anrokuzan was the same. He was just waiting, casually minding his business, not a single progress on the upcoming war. Hanamiya was frustrated. He hated waiting, he hated procrastinating. Lately, the so called Chosen ones were too unbothered. He didn't plan to leave it like this, he didn't care what Anrokuzan thought.

For himself, Hanamiya was a Chosen one too. Twenty years ago, Anrokuzan cursed the Miracle three and forced it to give a stone. Anrokuzan himself brought Hanamiya on the island to recieve the power of "the sound" and made him his right hand. He wasn't less from the others, he too was chosen, that's what he always believed.

"The sound" holder wasn't weak, he had great synchronization with his power. Hanamiya could easily control almost every living thing which existed on this island. He could make them more powerful, more merciless, more fierce. He sometimes thought that Anrokuzan underestimated him way too much. He wasn't scared to face him in a fight, he was tired of acting and being treated as a slave. This night, he needed to show his supermacy. He slipped the flute out of his sleeve and started playing.

Kagami woke up from the smell of smoke. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. The whole attic was clogged. The other boys started to stir too.

- We have to get out of here, guys!

When the others realized what was happening, they rushed to the ladder which was leading them outside the house and saw it. The whole first floor was in flames. They quickly got down and moved away from the fire.

- Riko is still in there!

Kuroko shouted and ran to the front door. He caught the handle and tried to open it, but it was locked. The flames were spreading quickly. He didn't realize he was already surrounded.

- Kuroko!

Kagami got in the flames as well. He saw the small bluenette and pulled him out. Kuroko screamed in pain, his whole leg was burned.
A huge wave of snow landed on the burning house. Kagami turned around and saw Kise throwing it. After a couple of minutes, the fire was stopped, but the house was completely destroyed. Midorima rushed to the enterance.

- Don't go in, she's dead. - Akashi said.

Everyone looked at him with frightened faces.

- I can't feel her presence.

- But we still have to—

- We have to get away from here as soon as possible! I don't know what caused that fire, but it surely is still there. We can't go in a fight with it right now!

The boys were shocked to hear this from Akashi. He looked scared. The great holder of "the sight" looked scared. They had never seen Akashi act like this.
Kagami picked Kuroko up, who was helplessly protesting against it. He couldn't leave the girl behind. That wasn't him. Being dead or not, she gave them a place to stay, she gave them food, she took care of them... How could they just leave her?

- Kagami, we have to go back!

The bigger boy looked at him with a sad face. Kuroko had a point, but if Akashi was right, they couldn't take the risk.

- Kuroko, listen to me! I felt power I've never had before! There was something too powerful for us! - Akashi said.

- And why do we always have to believe you? You felt power, alright. Then why didn't you feel the fire earlier? Why didn't you predict it? Why? Are you actually able to do so? What you did right now is totally inhuman! We are the Chosen ones, aren't we? We have to save the world, right? So tell me, Akashi, why are we running?

Akashi was speechless. He didn't mean to do nothing wrong. He was trying to save them.

- Kuroko I—

- I'll never forgive you for this!

Akashi sighed. Kuroko didn't know how bad it would have gotten if they stayed. He understood that Riko was important to him. She helped him with so many things, it was normal that he was feeling the biggest pain right now.
Akashi spotted a cave to the side. He led the boys in and everyone fell on the ground, exhausted from the long run.

- Kise, freeze the enterance! - Akashi ordered.

The boys were still shocked to see the unshakeable Akashi this frightened. Kise did as he was told and the redhead finally relaxed.

- What's going on, Akashi!? - Midorima asked.

- There was energy way beyond our powers! I can't explain it, it was an alwful feeling. We could have died.

Kuroko started healing his burned leg. The pain cut through him like a sword. It was way harder to heal himself than someone else.
Kagami was staying right by his side. His heart was shrinking, seeing his injured boy.
The blue haied managed to heal it just enough to be able to stand. He stood in front of Akashi and slapped him accross the face.

- Kuroko! - Aomine shouted.

- What? What do you want? When did you become his guardian, Aomine- kun?

Akashi touched his burning cheek. He didn't expect something like this. Subconsciously, his eyes changed color and started glowing.

- Do you remember how you hated him? How you didn't believe him? What happened now?

Aomime was watching him speechless. He didn't have an explanation for his actions.

- You don't know? Well, I'll tell you. He is using magic on all of you! He is fucking manipulating you and you don't even see it! Wake up, everyone!

Akashi's eyes were staring at the ground, still glowing.

- Kuroko, that's not true. - Kise interferred.

- It isn't? It isn't bothering you that he orders you around and you obey everything he says like fucking slaves? Ask yourselves, are you doing it out of your own will?

Everyone was silent. They didn't know what to say, what to do. Akashi was a freaky one, that was true, but was he really using something on them?
Before they could react, Akashi broke Kise's ice on the enterace and disappeared in the darkness.

Kuroko's still injured leg gave up under his weight. He started falling, but Kagami caught him before he hit the ground.

- Kuroko, hang in there!

The light bluenette was drained from the hard healing he did on himself. The pain was still too intense. His emotions over Riko's death weren't helping too. He fell asleep in Kagami's arms.

Aomine and Kise were sitting at the back of the cave. The blonde was resting his head on Aomine's shoulder, immersed in thoughts. Was Kuroko right? Akashi had proven multiple times that he could be trusted. He had saved them not once, he had always been a great leader for them, but there was still something that wasn't right about him. What if he lied about Riko? She didn't like him, neither did he.

- Kise...

Kise raised his head and looked at his lover.

- We have to find him.
