Kise had laid down next to Aomine as well. He found a blanket in the closet and covered them both with it, the warmth was making him a bit sleepy too. Right after he started to space out, the door opened.
A woman with long brown hair entered the house. She was really beautiful, having pretty green eyes and big puffy lips, but when Kise saw her legs, he was a bit shocked. From the waist down, she was a deer. The woman was not less surprised to see someone in her house.

- Wha-

- Hi, don't freak out. We are not here to rob you, we just needed a shelter. I'm sorry we broke into your house, but please, let us stay.

- Why should I let you-

- Please! I'll do anything. He can't go out in that storm again.

The half- deer looked at Aomine's sleeping form. The boy was clearly feverish, considering his heavy breaths. The other one was begging her like his life depended on it. She kind of felt sorry for them.

- Okay, you can stay, but once he gets better, you are leaving.

- Thank you so much!

She was silent for a while, still observing the two boys in her house. They kind of looked familiar, but she couldn't rember from where.

- Do I know you?

- Probably not, I've never seen you before.

- What's your name?

- Kise Ryouta.

Kise Ryouta... that name felt familiar too. She looked away, trying to remember and suddenly, it hit her.

- You are the Chosen ones! Oh my god!

She got up and got closer to Kise, observing his face even more.

- Yes, you totally are!

Kise was surprised from the sudden change in that woman's attitude, but he didn't have time to say anything.

- Which power do you have? Do you already have your crystal? How did you end up here?

- I-

- Wait! Let me guess! Kuse Ryouta.... you have "the ice"!

- Yes..

She calmed down when she heard Kise's serious tone. She felt kind of embarrassed, considering the Chosen ones weren't in a good position right now.

- You are on the cufs.

- The cufs?

- Parts of the island that are barely connected to it, the most far away ends of it.

- How do we get back to the others?

- I'm afraid I don't know, I'm sorry.

Kise was a little disappointed, but he actualy expected it.

- And what's your name?

- I'm Hiruko! I'm a demon!

- A demon?

- Yes! Haven't you already seen one?

Kise shook his head in denial. He didn't expect a demon to look like this.

- Me and the others keep this island alive!

Kise had so many questions, but before he could ask, his stomach started growling.

- You hungry? Wait, I'll get you something!
