The Dragon Breath

Aomine was pissed off at everything. A couple of hours have passed since the blonde got trapped in his own ice. The bluenette was walking around nervously, trying to come up with a plan to free him. No one could talk to him, he just mumbled something under his nose and ignored them. He hated how helpless he was.

- Is he always like this?

- Pretty much yes, Aomine- kun is very emotional, which probably explains why his stone chose him.

Kagami sighed. He was sitting on the stairs with Kuroko, trying to catch up with everything that happened here. He was surprisingly not freaking out, actually, he was happy that something like this happened to him. The redhead was so bored in the normal world, almost to the point of losing the will to live. This was a great opportunity for him, even though he could have been killed a couple of hours earlier. All his life, he had longed for something thrilling, something that was able to boil his blood, to make him feel alive.

- Kagami- kun...

Kuroko started, but didn't continue. He was immersed in thoughts.

- Could I ask you for a favor?

- What is it?

-I want to awaken your power to save Kise- kun.

Kagami looked at the frozen blonde. These powers were a big mystery. He couldn't understand how someone's power could work against him.

- Okay, we can try.

Kagami brought out his "the fire" stone and observed it. Was he actually capable of breathing fire? Or would it burst out of his hands? He was so curious, excited.

The trees near them started changing shapes. The branches got closer to the redhead and started bending around, almost wrapping around him.

- Kagami- kun, these trees are trying to kill you right now. Think of a way to stop them.

- Heh? Isn't this too harsh, Kuroko?

- No.

Kuroko crossed his arms and withdrew from the other. He was, of course, not going to let the branches kill him, but he needed to keep a distance, both for his and Kagami's sake.

The redhead closed his eyes and strained his mind.

- Okay, fire, come out!

Nothing happened, the trees continued to wrap around him. He sighed and tried again, and again, until the branches began choking him. Kuroko clapped his hands together and returned the trees back to normal.

- It's alright, It won't happen from the first time.

Kagami was fired up. He was now even more passionate for this.

- Let's try again!

The branches became moving the same way as before. Kagami concentrated. He started digging deep within himself. The trees completely covered him. Second time. Third time. Fourth time... It was almost night already. Kuroko has started to get tired. Kagami saw this. He needed to deal with this as soon as possible.

- Just once more, Kuroko!

Kagami immersed all of his senses into this. He tensed his whole body, taking a deep breath.

- Come on, Kagami, you are not going to let a couple of plants beat you! - He thought to himself.

His stone started glowing. He opened his eyes and took another deep breath. A big jet of fire came out of his mouth, turning the branches into dust.

Kuroko was fascinated. This boy awakened his power so quickly, just half a day after arriving. He was starting to like him more and more with every minute.
