A large hole opened up on the ground. Aomine managed to cath the edge then quickly reached his other hand for Kise. He succeeded. They both were hanging over a deep black hole, the bottom of it nowhere to be found.
Aomine was trying hard to catch his breath. The sudden dose of adrenaline had him petrified, thinking only about keeping Kise's hand in his.- Aominecchi...
When he got back his senses, Aomine started pulling them back up. Kise was amazed of the bluenette's strenght. Once again, he felt like a burden, completely useless. He was causing Aomine to feel pain... like he always did.
Aomine did it, he pulled them out then threw himself on the ground.- I told you I'll keep you safe. - He said inbetween his heavy breaths.
Kise was totally ashamed. If Aomine really wanted to end their relationship, it was even harder on him to not feel like a luggage.
Aomine got up after getting some rest and looked at the blonde, gently touching his face.- Hey, what's wrong?
Kise broke their eye contact. He didn't know what to say.
- Kise.. talk to me..
- I'm sorry you had to save me again...
- Is this why you are upset?
Kise nodded hardly noticeable.
- But you saved me as well, don't you remember? Who made the slide when we entered this place?
-You ended up here because of me...
- But I didn't!
- You legit did.
- I didn't, I ran through the portal by my own will.
- You know what I mean.
Aomine smirked. He was surprised that things like that crawled in Kise's mind.
- Come here.
Aomine got closer and hugged him, diving his fingers into his hair.
- If I didn't save you, no one could've saved me from myself.
Here was him again. The old Aomine, the one who was literally dying for Kise. The blonde was confused. What was that thing that he wanted to talk about?
- I don't know what this place is, but it's surely dangerous, are we continuing? - Aomine asked.
- Should we?
- I'll follow you whatever you choose, Kise.

Akashi was sitting in front of the crystals, trying hard to come up with somethibg to save Aomine and Kise. He had never seen portals like this in his predictions. The good thing was that he could sense they were still alive. The crystals were still lying there, untouched. No one actually cared about them right now.
- Akashi...
The redhead turned around and saw Midorima reaching his hand to touch his shoulder.
- Can I suggest something?
- Yes, go ahead.
- We know crystals make our abilities stronger, but do they affect the energies we are radiating?
- Yes, they do. They change the aura sometimes too.
- Well, if we give the last three crystals to their holders, wouldn't we make our overall energy stronger?
- We will.
- And if we concentrate it in opening the portal again, can this work?
Akashi began thinking again. Midorima had a point, but this plan had too many risks.
