"You guys never cease to impress me." I mumbled, looking at the giant pile of hemp, that Taiju was working on, and then passing to Yuzuriha, and she was then working with a group of others to spin it all into thread, and then tying the thread to make cloth... and if I was to say I knew what the hell was going on, I'd be lying.
"After we finish this, you're gonna slap some paint on it, and then we'll fold it up and tie it to the basket those guys are making!" Senku gabbed a thumb behind him and I glanced over his shoulder, shivering at the sight of ten grown men yelling at each other over what their next step was.
"Maybe they need help?" I wondered aloud, and Senku just sighed,
"Yeah I'll get to them in a second, so I was thinking classic balloon stripes, and a big red dot on the top, you know? Gotta be easy to see from far away."
I swallowed, he knows how much paint I'm going to need for this, right? That stuff isn't easy to make in bright colors in this age!

I know I've been here for major projects before, like the car, but this was ridiculous. I stood by Yuzuriha and her giant work space that Senku built for her to make weaving the cloth easier and faster. She was mostly silent, but we had some small talk here and there, some giggles when we heard ironically girly screams from afar, probably from Magma.
Gen was being worked to the bone too, as per usual, and took every chance he got to walk beside us just to wave, or even ask me something like what my favorite color was.
Once I was finished sorting and folding all of the cloth, a bunch of people came over to see the finished work. Senku was beyond happy, even though there were some that didn't turn out so good since we were getting used to the machinery.
So, Gen appeared out of no where and bribed everyone with a huge stack of (fake) money and all the exhausted threat weavers went back to work.
"Dude." Senku gasped, "Where are we gonna get all of that money?"
"Don't worry, we'll have more than enough soon. After all, we've got all that... cloth that's too ventilated, right? So we'll make some merchandise and sell it in the Senku department store."
"I'LL MAKE THEM! I WANNA MAKE THEM!" Yuzuriha screamed, making us all jump, and thus, the fashion industry began again.
"Rina, come with me!"
"Huh? What? Why?" Yuzuriha grabbed my wrist in a deathly grip, and dragged me off without looking back.

Hundreds of design ideas later, I still wasn't allowed to leave our warehouse tent.
"But Yuzuriha!" I gasped, "I feel like I've been breathing in paper and charcoal for hours! I want air! And water! And I miss Gen!"
"Oh, you're such a big baby!" She retorted, "Just hold on one more second. I've made all my pieces for everyone in the village, all in different sizes and styles, and now it's time for the ultimate piece!"
"And that means what exactly?"
"The show stopper!"
I still don't know what that means...

Three hours of waiting later, though, it was time to learn what a show stopper was. I'd been stuck by the tent this whole time, watching from afar as villagers modelled Yuzuriha's outfits and she set up the prices. They were expensive, but it was better than anything these guys have ever seen before, and worth the price. As she finished the 'show stopper' I stood behind her and asked what the price would be.
"Oh, this ones not for sale." She stood and turned towards me, and the look on her face was a sweet, gentle, and absolutely terrifying smile, "Now strip."

"Attention everyone! It is time for my final piece, my showstopper! Give a warm welcome to my final model, Rina!"
This is so embarrassing!
She yanked open the curtain and I stepped out, raising my head just to see who might be watching. It was just a dress, no make up, no fancy hair, just the gown that Yuzuriha had made. And it was apparently definitely a show stopper, because everyone was frozen.
The last time I was put on the spot like this, I wanted to jump off a cliff, literally. But this time it was completely different. It didn't feel like anyone was looking down at me, but instead, looking up at me.
Gen approached me slowly as an applause started and Yuzuriha bowed proudly. He rose a hand to my face and ran his thumb over my cheek, fingers poking into the sides of my hair. His eyes were bright, but they also seemed distant.
"What?" I whispered.
"You're so beautiful. Do you know that?"
"Not really. There's no mirrors."
He cracked a smile, "I meant... do you believe it? If I tell you you're beautiful, will you believe me?"
I rose my hand to hold his over my cheek, and leant into that support, "I believe you."
