Kay's Point of view

"You kids know that you need to have fun racing!" Leery said

A thin, tall, boy that looked like he was 14 years old yelled, "Why do we have to we have to listen to this speech every year?"

"Yes you gyes do, because of the new drivers!" Leery yelled

Leery looked as if he was just having fun and joking around with the 14 year old boy as if they knew each other for a long time.

I knew that even if Leery was related to any of these kids, he would never lie to even his kids, because of the big heart he had!

I could see him chuckling and everyone else was too.

"This is Kay," Leery yelled as he started holding my shoulders tightly,"She's a rookie this year," "And this is Fair, Also a rookie and this is Kira, all of these girls are racers this year.

"It's a good thing too," that 14 year old boy said
"What's that?" Leery asked
"Nothing," he answered

"Any way you kids are next on," leery went on,"You better get ready

I got my HANS device on to protect my neck, I got my fire suit on to protect my body from burning up in a fire, I got my fire shoes on to protect my feet from burning up, I got my helmet on to protect my head because when I crash I could get bad brain scars and it could kill me if I didn't were one more so that I'm going as fast as a race car can go! I got in my car and popped the steering wheel of (I've got to do that) and got in my seat and hoping for the best.

As I got on the track I saw my family cheering me on. It was s great feeling to be on the track again.

I went as fast as my little car would take me but  I was terrified of crashing right there on the track. Because of my practise with Fair I was going full throttle.

My steering wheel came off.

I froze for 2 seconds not knowing what to do I put the steering wheel to the side of my seat and hit the breaks. But by that 2 seconds I thought my life was over.

I hit the wall and I felt a sting in my back and left foot.

They took me into the pits with me sobbing and yelling "MY BACK HURTS,  MY BACK HURTS!"

When the pain in my back finally was a pain that I could handle I got up forgetting that my foot hurt too only to fall back down hurting my back.

My dad carrying my to the truck asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital "NO!" I said terrified because if I did I probably would get some needles to calm me down.

I got some pain killer in the truck. I finally got out of the truck and was trying to put pressure on my foot but if I jumped I would hurt my back again. It was a very hard time. I hurt very bad and I could not bare it. I wish I had gone to the hospital to find out how badly I was hurt. But it was not going to happen.

I later found out that the reason for my foots pain was from pushing to hard on my breaks and pushing too hard on the breaks put too much stress on my back and it hurt my back too.
