Chapter 3After Kay got her clothes on, brushed her hair, ate breakfast, and brushed her teeth Kay was ready to go outside to see if her dad needed help of any kind.
When Kay got to the shop on the other side of the farm she pulled her sleeves up so she would not get any dirt on them what-so-ever.
"Hi Kay, how are you this morning?" Her dad said as he put the last wheel in the car trailer.
"Good, and I'm so exited about mini cup racing!" Kay yelled
"Me too and that's good you should be exited, racing's a big deal and if you have fun that's all that maters," Kay's dad explained
"Ya, even though I know nothing about it I know that the only two things that mater are having fun and making friends!" Kay Continued
"Do you have everything?" Her dad asked
"Yes, I have my racing boots, my. Racing suit, my helmet, and my car!" Kay said as she swept the shop floor.
"Good, but you should help your mother in the house because I think she is calling you," her dad whispered. Just in the distance Kay heard a faint yell that sounded like her mom.
"Okay, gotta go, see you later alligator!" Kay yelled as she ran for the door.
"In a while crocodile!" her dad shot back at her.
As she reached the house a black truck pulled up in the drive way, it was her dad, always beating her to the house made her feel super slow.
"You ready?" Her dad asked excitedly
"I just got to the front of the house, of course I'm ready!" Kay's answered with a sigh.
"Okay, now all we have to do is wait for your mother," her dad said.
"What about Nat and Justy?" She asked concerned.
"Your sister and brother ain't coming because They are too little," her dad said
"Nat's eight years old and Justy is three!" Kay's explained
"Still to little for the race track," he said with a sigh
"I packed every thing you guys will need, but me, Nat, and Justy will only be watching from the stands," Kay's mom said as she ran up to the truck.
"What about grandpa and grandma?" Kay asked silently.
"Your grandpa will be coming later but your grandma won't," her mom explained.
"We better be of then, bye!" Kay's dad yelled as him and Kay got in the truck.
"Bye, see you at the race!" She yelled as the truck drove of.
