Torn

Even though there was a tornado, we still had school the next day. I stepped into my first hour, science three minutes early. this is the earliest I've ever been.
"On time? Shocking!" Tanner announced when I sat down. I chose to ignore him. The rest of the hour went smoothly because Tanner left me alone finally.
Later, at lunch Liz, Meg and I talked about the tornado and how close it was to me and Meg. That was the best part of my day.
In Mr. Lergson's class we had a substitute. it was odd because he is never gone. "I am so sorry to announce that your teacher, Mr. Lergsdon's house was hit by the tornado and he is no longer with us. He was hit by a knife flying in the wind." she announced. I heard about three people say "yay". I was not happy about his death. Although he was weird and somewhat creepy, he is-er-was one of my favorite teachers.
After school, I met Austin in "our spot" outside behind the school. We talked for half an hour and ended our chat with a kiss. In that moment, I knew I made the right choice.
