Willow's pov

I stared up at my phone while laying in my bed. Rex was curled up next to my leg, chest rising and falling slowly. I pulled my phone close to my face, staring at the new chat page on it. I typed in a sentence only to delete it again.
"No that seems to formal" I rolled onto my side and typed another sentence only to delete it again.
"No not that one either" I tossed my phone across the room. It landed on the rug. Rex lifted his head and stared at my phone. I rolled onto my back again, placing my hands against my face. The bed sprung up beside my legs seconds before I heard the thud of Rex's paws hitting the floor. I looked to the side where Rex held my phone in his mouth and was offering it to me. I sighed.
"I didn't throw it for a game but thanks anyway" I take the phone from him and hold it in my hands. I sigh.
"I'm never going to get this right" I stare up at the phone. Might as well just get it done with and save the hours I'll inevitably spend working myself into a ball of nerves.

Hey. Its Willow. I'm texting you so now you have my number.

I click send. Then I look over the message again.
"Oh Arceus. It sounds so clunky. What was I thinking?" I hit my phone against my forehead, letting out a groan. My phone vibrated against my head. My eyes fly open and I fumble with my phone, dropping it on the bed. I stare at it, eyes wide and hands close to my chest. Rex looks at me, wagging his tail happily. I lift my thumb up to my mouth and start biting at it and my nail.
"He's probably hates me now. I can't believe I sent such a stupid message" I hid my face in my hands. Rex crawled forward, pushing the phone towards me.
"You're right. I just need to check it. It'll be fine" I laugh weakly, a shaky smile on my lips as I pick up the phone and check my messages.

Great. I'll be sure to add you

I blink. That was it? He responded like I didn't just make an absolute fool of myself with that message. I looked at Rex who tilted his head.
"I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought" he huffed, electricity sparking off his fur. I took a deep breath. Maybe I could ask him.

So I was wondering. I've listened to some of your music and noticed that you do your own vocals and guitar.

Yeah. What about it?

Well I'm working on a new piece and I picked a guitar as the accompanying instrument and I don't really play guitar so I thought maybe you could play the guitar in my piece

The other end was completely silent. I could see that Piers had read my message but there wasn't any sign of the little text bubble. Maybe I'd stepped out of line and made him uncomfortable. Or he hated the idea because of my music. My phone buzzed. I looked.

Yeah sure. It would be better if you came to Spikemuth tho since I have my gym to take care of as well

I blinked, staring at the message.

Sure. That's fine. I can bring my instruments. Just give me a time and day

How's Thursday at 12 sound?

Yeah. That works fine

See you on Thursday then

I held my phone close. I was actually going to work with another musician. This was going to be amazing.
